The 2023 World Series of Poker continues at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas today with the Event #70: $400 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em at 10 a.m local time. The Colossus is the second lowest buy-in event at the WSOP, so an absolutely massive field is expected as they all dream of bracelet glory.

The reigning champion is United Kingdom's Paul Hizer who beat a field of 13,565 entrants to claim the first-place prize of $414,490 as well as his first WSOP bracelet. If trends from this year's WSOP continue, then the entrants and prize pool will dwarf last year's numbers as Event #18: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em showed with its 23,088 entrants and $5,679,648 prize pool.

Zhang Takes it on the River

Livello 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With about 1,500 in the middle, the flop of Q109 was already on the felt and Jeffrey Zhang bet 400. His only opponent in the hand made the call.

The 10 hit the turn, and Zhang continued for 1,200 before his opponent called again.

When the A completed the board, Zhang paused for a moment before dropping a red chip across the line, for a bet of 5,000. His opponent thought about it for a few seconds before pushing his cards towards the dealer.

Granados Amassing a Big Stack Early

Livello 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Angel Granados raised to 600 from middle position. The cutoff then three-bet to 1,800, which Granados called.

The flop came 5Q9, and Granados checked before calling the 2,100-chip bet from the cutoff.

The 5 followed the same pattern, with Granados check-calling 3,000.

The A hit the river. Granados led out this time, betting 6,000. After shuffling his 5,000-denomination chips for a minute, the cutoff tossed in a call. Granados' Q7 was good when he turned it over, and he added to his growing stack.
