A player in middle position raised to 20,000 and was called by Jonathan Borenstein in the cutoff and Mark Bixler in the small blind leading to a 5♥7♦J♥ flop.
Bixler open-jammed from the small blind and the initial raiser called, putting action on Borenstein, who decided to jam himself. This got a fold from the player in middle position and sent Borenstein and Bixler to a runout with Bixler at risk.
Mark Bixler: 10♣9♣6♦4♣
Jonathan Borenstein: K♥Q♥10♣5♣
Bixler had a lot of outs to make a straight but none could be hearts. When the 8♠ hit the turn, he shot to the lead in the hand.
The A♦ on the river changed nothing, allowing Bixler a full double-up.

Daniel Negreanu raised preflop from late position and got two callers.
The flop fell Q♦J♦5♦.
Action folded to Negreanu, who bet 30,000 and received two swift folds. It was a modest pot, won without fuss, but Negreanu is moving in the right direction.

Seyed Hosseini raised with a short stack, to which Alfred Atamian declared all in, and Hosseini called.
Atamian said, "I have aces and kings double suited" as Hosseini rolled his eyes incredulously.
"I was only kind of lying," Atamian continued when he showed his hand.
Seyed Hosseini: K♠K♣8♠5♥
Alfred Atamian: A♣K♥8♣3♥
Before the dealer fanned out the flop Atamian asserted, "The ace of hearts is the card," and sure enough, it scrolled across per his request 6♥3♣A♥. This put Atamian far ahead of Hosseini's kings, and when the 9♠ turned it seemed inconsequential.
The river was the 7♠, to which Hosseini animatedly shouted, "Straight, straight! I have the straight!"
Atamian didn't believe him until he craned his neck. "Oh, shit," he said. "He does have the straight."
"Practice, practice," Hosseini responded. "I had eggs benedict this morning." While others at the table and this reporter were left to wonder what that could mean, Atamian was left to bemoan his lack of bounties.

Joao Estanislav raised from late position to 16,000 and got called by Antonio Gonzalez in the big blind to bring out the K♦9♦Q♣ flop.
Gonzalez checked over to Estanislav who continued with a bet of 20,000. Gonzalez called and watched as the J♣ hit the turn.
Both players checked through to the 6♣ river and both players checked again to showdown.
Gonzalez showed A♣A♦J♠7♥, which was second best to the 10♥9♠8♥7♣ of Estanislav, who collected the pot and continued to chip up.

Peter Onan: A♦Q♠9♦6♠
