Hitesh Bhimjiyani was all in on a flop of 598, facing William Abercrombie, who had him covered.

Hitesh Bhimjiyani: AA88
William Abercrombie: A1095

Bhimjiyani was a huge favorite to double up, but a 10 and 10 on the river, sent him to the rail in the cruelest fashion.

A Big Boon for Al-Sadoun

Livello 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Satar Al Sadoun
Satar Al Sadoun

Abdullah Faiz was all in preflop when the 746 appeared in a bloated pot.

Farid Jattin placed a large wager of 361,000 and Satar Al-Sadoun called, adding to a large side pot.

The turn peeled the 5 and Jattin put the rest of his chips in the middle. Al-Sadoun quickly called.

Abdullah Faiz: KJ107
Farid Jattin: KK82
Satar Al-Sadoun: A232

Al-Sadoun had turned the little straight and had the nut flush redraw, which had both his opponents drawing dead, making the J that fell on the river inconsequential. Al-Sadoun is now leading the field.

Fortunes Change; Madsen Chips Up

Livello 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

Kalan Roberts put the last of his chips in on a flop reading 57J and was called by Jeff Madsen. It looked like something close to a flip.

Kalan Roberts: QJ107
Jeff Madsen: AA68

Roberts had flopped two pair to pull slightly ahead of Madsen's aces. Madsen had his danglers working for him, though, and had an open-ended straight draw. The turn brought the 3, which was no help but Madsen got there when the 4 hit, making him the eight-high straight.

Chung Doubles Through Welch

Livello 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Billy Welch limped from middle position and Stephanie Chung checked her option in the big blind to bring out a J10A flop.

Chung checked over to Welch, who bet 30,000. Chung paused briefly before check-raising to around 100,000. Welch wasted little time in saying, "Okay, let's see if I've got some luck," while putting in a raise that would put Chung all in.

Chung quickly called and was at risk headed to the runout.

Stephanie Chung: KQ92
Billy Welch: AKJ5

Chung had flopped the nuts but Welch had boat outs that would spell the end of Chung's day if he hit. But when the turn and river came the 7 and 10, Chung was safe, having secured a double-up.

Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth will not be the winner of the 2023 Word Series of Poker Main Event as the all-time leading bracelet winner was eliminated around an hour ago on Day 2d.

The player to send 'The Poker Brat' to the rail was Nicholas "Dirty Diaper" Rigby, who rose to fame in the poker community in the 2021 Main Event after getting into the mix several times with 3x2x.

Hellmuth, who won the Main Event in 1989, has failed to make the money in poker's crown jewel tournament for the last eight years. His last Main Event cash came in 2015, where he finished in 417th for $21,786.
