Welcome to Day 1c of Event #76: $10,000 WSOP Main Event No-Limit Hold'em World Championship at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Cards go in the air at 12 p.m. local time for the third of four opening flights.

A total of 1,118 players entered the field on Tuesday, bringing the overall attendance so far to 2,158. Of those 2,158 entrants, 1,621 players found a bag from the first two starting flights after five levels and will return for Day 2abc on July 7. Many expect this year's main event to yield a record breaking number of players, with the attendance so far already showing an increase from 2022, which had a total of 1,780 entrants after Day 1b.

South Africa's Jean-Pierre van der Spuy bagged the chip lead for Day 1b (287,000), with French pro Julien Martini bagging the second-largest stack of the day (286,000).

Other notables who found a bag at the end of Day 1b include Greg Raymer, Johnny Chan, Chris Brewer, Patrik Antonius, Isaac Haxton, Jason Koon and Scott Seiver.

The overall chip lead, however, is held by Day 1a player Yehuda Dayan with a monstrous stack of 389,900. The Israeli has set the bar high for players hoping to advance to either Day 2 among the chip leaders.

Players will begin with 60,000 in chips and each of the opening flights will play five 120-minute levels before the remaining players bag up for their respective Day 2. Breaks are scheduled after each level and a 75-minute dinner break will be taken after Level 3. Surviving players from Day 1c will combine with those from 1a and 1b on Friday, July 7, for Day 2abc.
