Walthaus Gives Up on the River

Livello 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In a pot of around 12,000, Victor Chu led from the big blind for 3,000 on a flop of KK2. Jorn Walthaus was in middle position and made the call as the only other player in the hand.

The K turn fell and Chu bet another 5,000, followed by another call from Walthaus. Then on the Q river, Chu upped the ante once more, this time to 10,000 chips.

Finally, Walthaus let his hand go and granted the pot to Chu, who climbed just above starting stack by winning it.

Gold Makes The Right Call

Livello 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Jamie Gold
Jamie Gold

Martin Vialla de Soleyrol opened to 1,300 from middle position and found one caller in Jamie Gold from the big blind.

Both players checked on the 526 flop and then Gold led out for 2,000 on the 7 turn. Vialla de Soleyrol called.

The 8 completed the board and Gold checked — prompting a 6,200 bet from Vialla de Soleyrol and sending Gold deep into the tank.

"All I have is a deuce I might call you," Gold said.

Gold did eventually put in a call and Vialla de Soleyrol tabled AQ for a busted flush draw. Gold had Q2 for a pair of deuces as advertised and collected the pot.
