Delpiano Wins a Classic Flip to Bust Lendvai

Livello 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Tamas Lendvai had a large percentage of his chips in the middle, with roughly only 150,000 sitting behind. Dario Delpiano shoved all in on his left and Lendvai went into the tank, trying to get a pay jump. After a minute had passed, the clock was called and Lendvai eventually stuck in what was left.

Pateychuk continued for 55,000 on the 10♠7♦4♠ flop and only Hall called.

Pateychuk then check-called for 85,000 on the 6♦ turn.

The Q♣ river checked through to showdown and Pateychuk tabled 8x8x but was bested by the 10♦9♣ that Hall held.

Lazaro Can't Get Rid of Kornuth

Chance Kornuth bet 50,000 from early position on a flop of 5♥8♦5♣ and Rene Lazaro called in the small blind.

The turn came the J♠ and Lazaro checked over to Kornuth, who bet another 85,000. Lazaro then came back with a raise to 300,000 and Kornuth leaned over the table to get a good look at Lazaro's bet before he called.

The 7♠ fell on the river and Lazaro slowed down and checked. Kornuth grabbed a few chips but ultimately decided to check back as Lazaro showed 7♣6♣.

Kornuth turned over 10♠8♠ for eights and fives to take the pot. "I was afraid I was going to have to raise if you bet," Kornuth told Lazaro.

Grise Snaps the River

Benjamin Grise opened 50,000 under the gun, and the action folded around to Andrew Hulme as he defended the big blind.

On the Q♥3♦3♠ flop, Hulme check-called a bet of 50,000.

The K♥ turn received checks from both players and the 8♣ fell on the river.

Hulme dropped a bet of 180,000 across the line and Grise snap-called. Hulme tabled A♠J♣ for ace-high, and Grise dragged the pot with A♥K♠.

Harsheel Kothari was in a heads-up pot against Bohdan Slyvinskyi on a board of 4♥J♣5♥, but his attention was elsewhere.

With the hand underway, Kothari was in an argument with the player to his right, Thomas Zanot, who insisted Kothari leave him alone and called the floor over for the second time.

"I told you I want him to stop talking to me," Zanot told the floor, who asked Kothari to respect his request.

Zanot then began slagging off Kothari as he faced a bet of 50,000 in the pot that had a fraction of his attention, with Zanot yelling to another table that "I'm sure this is normal behavior for him. I'm sure he does this every tournament."

"You say I'm not allowed to talk to you and then you start talking sh**," Kothari said in frustration as he called.

Kothari faced a bet of 220,000 on the 9♠ turn and he folded as he continued to bicker about the situation.

"Table change!" laughed Ahmed Nimer.

"Yeah, table change," grumbled Kothari.

Jachtmann Takes from Palvini

With the board reading K♦2♣9♣3♦K♣ and about 350,000 in the middle, Jan-Peter Jachtmann checked from the big blind and Jeremy Palvini bet 145,000. Jachtmann put in a check-raise to 400,000 and after about 40 seconds Palvini made the fold.

"Show me," Palvini asked his opponent.

"Show you nothing!" Jachtmann replied as he scooped the pot.

A New Champion Will be Crowned

With Chris Moneymaker recently making his way to the payout desk, Joe Hachem was the only previous WSOP Main Event champion still in the field. Hachem raised it up to 60,000 in early position and Mason Vieth three-bet to 180,000 from a couple of seats over. Hachem just called and the dealer fanned the flop of A♠10♦2♠.

Hachem checked to Vieth who continued with a bet of 200,000 and Hachem called. The turn brought the 5♣ and Hachem checked again. Vieth jammed all in and Hachem called off the rest of his chips of around 600,000.

Hachem was out front with the only pair but Vieth had a combo draw to look forward to. The river was the 8♠ and Vieth made his flush, sending Hachem out of the tournament on Day 5.

Das Shoots Up the Ranks, Eliminates Bergman

Edward Bergman raised preflop from middle position before Anirban Das, who had known a good start to his day, three-bet to 160,000 from the button.

The blinds folded before Bergman announced his all-in for around 1,000,000 chips and Das made the call.

Bergman flopped a sweat on K♦Q♠2♦ with a draw to a flush, but the 10♠ turn diminished his outs, giving Das a set.

The river paired Bergman with the A♥, but it was no good and he exited the tournament.

Meanwhile, Das is playing a stack of over five million chips.
