Yin and Pastore Play Two Pots Back to Back
In the first and bigger pot between the players, Jonathan Pastore min-raised from middle position. Yuzhou Yin was in the big blind and defended.
The 8♠9♠10♥ flop was checked around.
The turn was the 4♦, and Yin led out for 120,000. Pastore called.
The river was the 9♦. Yin took a fairly long time to think and then fired 480,000 for slightly over the pot. Pastore took some time before calling. He quickly saw the bad news as Yin turned over the Q♠J♠ for a flopped straight.
The two players played again on the very next hand. Pastore opened from under the gun, and Yin called in the small blind.
The flop was 4♣A♠2♣. Yin checked to Pastore, who made a small continuation bet of 60,000, and Yin called.
The turn 2♦ and river 4♥ were checked by both players. Yin flipped over 9♣9♦, which Pastore could beat with K♠K♦, winning some of his chips back.
