Short and not so Sweet for Hellmuth

Livello 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Phil Hellmuth didn't hang around too long as he just busted to Hasan Anter.

These two players and Tobias Reinkemeier saw a {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} flop. Reinkemeier led out for 500 from the BB and Hellmuth raised this up to 1,000 from mid position. Anter wasted little time in check-raising all-in for around 9,500 from the small blind. The German folded but Hellmuth had a harder decision.

"I can beat a lot of hands", said Hellmuth. "I can't beat a set though", he continued.

He eventually called off his remaining 5,050 to find out his initial instincts were correct. Anter tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for middle set, beating Hellmuth's {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

No Action For Bellande

Livello 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Jean-Robert Bellande opens to 225 from under the gun but nobody wants to play with the reality TV star and he picks up the blinds. He will not be too bothered though as he has plenty of chips in front of him, possibly why he received no action.

Eames Continues To Climb

Livello 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

John Eames is now the chip leader on his table after turning a straight in a three-way pot.

Brandon Cantu raises to 275 from under the gun, next to act is Winfred Yu and he puts three black 100 chips into the middle and makes the call. Everyone folds to Eames in the big blind and he makes the call.

The dealer puts out the {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop and all three players decide to check their option to bet. The turn is the {8-Diamonds} and again all three players check. The turn is the {Q-Hearts} and now Eames bets 1,125. Cantu quickly calls, Yu folds and Eames reveals {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a turned straight. Cantu cannot beat this and he mucks.

Jacobson Takes on Duhamel

Livello 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a board reading {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{6-Hearts} Martin Jacobson checked and the action was on the current WSOP Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel in the cutoff seat. He bets 800, which send Jacobson into the tank. The Swede emerges after around one minute with an all in bet of 2,350, enough to force a fold from Duhamel.

Tony G Not Quite Sure What Friendly Is?

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Tony G is back to his vocal best over on Table 34, though everything seems like friendly banter at the moment.

Tony G limps in on the small blind and Kirill Telezhkin raises to 600 from the big blind. "Keep it friendly you mug," demands Tony G before making the call. The flop comes down {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Tony G checks, Telezhkin bets 400 and Tony G quickly calls. The turn is the {J-Clubs} and Tony G bets 1,200 and his opponent quickly folds.

"I'm Not Perfect," Says Tony G

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Table 34 is being played four handed at the moment and Tony G seems to be running the show. He just raised to 575 and everyone folded. "That raise is too big," explained Maria Ho, "I can't play a hand with you,"

"I only had a king. {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} is a big hand for me," replied Tony G before adding the words no poker fan thought they would ever heard, "I'm not perfect!"

The very next hand he raised to 450 under the gun and found callers in the shape of Nikolay Volper and Vladimir Shchemelev. The flop came down {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and all three players checked. Teh turn was the {5-Diamonds}, Shchemelev bet 1,100 and both Tony G and Volper called. The river brought the {5-Diamonds} into play and again s
Shchemelev bet 1,100, Tony G snap-called and Volper got out of the way.

Shchemelev{6-Spades} {6-Clubs}
Tony G{J-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}

"See how much better 450 is?" joked Ho, prompting laughs from her table mates.
