Back to Chinese Poker

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Stephen Chidwick is busily playing Chinese poker with Dan Kelly via Bluetooth on an iPad and iPhone, but he interrupted his game to quickly double-up Nikita Nikolaev.

Nikolaev raised to 550 from mid position and then moved all-in when Chidwick three-bet to 1,500 from the big blind. Call.

Chidwick: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Nikolaev: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran {j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop was about as good as it got for Nikolaev as it left Chidwick with one out. It didn't come and he dropped to 7,200 chips.

ElkY Crushing as Negreanu Doubled

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
ElkY in control
ElkY in control

It seems as if ElkY is having it all his own way at his table. He's up to 30,000 in chips after he eliminated Philip Jacobsen to take his table to seven-handed.

We're not sure how the action went but it seemed as if Jacobsen three-bet all-in from the small blond after an early position raise from the Frenchman. He called with pocket queen and stayed ahead of Jacobsen's king-six.

Daniel Negreanu is staying competitive meanwhile after a double-up. He just tweeted: "doubled thru Shak. Raised 88 button called Shak reraised. I put him on exactly AQ and said so. He shows AQ and the 88 held."

Binger Makes a Good Fold

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Matt Waxman
Matt Waxman

The action is on Nick Binger who decides to check the {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop putting the action on the recent WPT Grand Prix de Paris champion Matt Waxman, who also checks.

The dealer puts out the {2-Diamonds} on the turn and Binger bets 400 from the small blind, Waxman raises to 1,500 and Binger quickly calls. The river brings the {Q-Spades} into play and Binger now checks. Waxman, who is busy peeling the prawns in his rice dish, vocally bets 2,500 sending Binger into the tank. He stays for there for just under a minute before relinquishing his hand.

"Good fold bro," said Waxman to his fellow countryman, before continuing to eat his now peeled prawns.

This table only has four players remaining, Waxman, Binger, Andrew Robl and Ryan D'Angelo.

Negreanu Gives up his Chip Lead

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Dan Negreanu has handed over his table chip lead to his neighbour Hasan Anter.

The two were heads-up and post flop Negreanu check-called bets of 1,800 and 4,275 before facing an all-in bet of about 8,500 on the river. The final board read {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Negreanu likes to think aloud when he has the final decision in a hand and it was no different this time.

"You have ace-jack with the jack of diamonds", he voiced. "Or jack-ace with the ace of diamonds; one of the two", he continued.

The Canadian peeked at his cards one last time before releasing his hand to drop to around 14,000 chips.

Pescatori and ElkY Clash

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Two players who are usually flamboyantly dressed, but today look rather smart and casual, Bertand "ElkY" Grospellier and Max Pescatori have just clashed in a button versus small blind battle.

ElkY raised from the button and Pescatori called from the small blind. The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Pescatori bet 800 and ElkY called. The river was the {3-Clubs} and pescatori bet again, this time 1,500 which was enough to fold out ElkY.

Livello 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a board reading [7j6s6c7d] Erik Seidel checked in the under the gun seat and Selbst, on the button, bet 500. The eight-time WSOP bracelet winner makes the call. The {3-Spades} on the river is greeted with a check from Seidel, a bet of 1,100 from Selbst and a call from Seidel.

The Short Handed Tables

Livello 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

There are three tables playing four-handed right now and all other tables are playing five or more.

Sean Getzwiller is in control of table 12 with 36,000 chips. He has, amoungst others, a certain Scott Seiver (15k) to overcome before he can move on to tomorrow.

Andrew Robl doubled-up early and is still firmly in control of table 21 with around 40,000 chips.

Alexiou Konstantinos has all the power right now on table 24. The Greek optician has 40,000 chips, dwarfing his three remaining rivals.
