Back and Forth With Schwartz and Mercier

Livello 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We're fairly sure Noah Schwartz and Jason Mercier both come to France as residents of South Florida, and the two of them have been mixing it up for the last few orbits as this field continues to shrink.

A couple hands ago, Mercier raised to 6,000 to open the pot, and Schwartz three-bet to 14,500 in position. Mercier called, and he checked the {6-Spades} {9-Clubs} {4-Clubs} flop. Schwartz continued out with 24,500 more chips, and Mercier gave it a good stare before releasing his cards. Schwartz flashed {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}.

And then a moment ago, we picked up another heads-up pot between them, this one also opened by Mercier preflop. On the {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} {3-Diamonds}, he fired out with 7,500, and Schwartz floated to see the {8-Hearts} on the turn. Mercier kept the heat on with another 22,000, and Schwartz spent some time in the tank before waving the white flag and folding.

Not much movement in the chips so far, but we're keeping a close eye on the Floridians over there.
