Artiom Poddubnii raised to 800,000 in the cutoff and Omar Eljach defended his big blind. The K♠J♦9♣ flop saw Eljach check-call for 725,000 and the 9♠ turn went check, check.
Eljach then bet the 2♥ river for 1,100,000 and Poddubnii folded.
[Removed:446] had previously folded to a short stack shove by Georges Chehade and then faced the small blind jam by Matt Davenport. Saran had 7,450,000 behind in the big blind, glanced at the tournament info twice and made the call on the Main Event ticket bubble.
[Removed:446]: A♥K♠
Matt Davenport: 8♦3♦
The 10♦10♥2♠7♥K♣ board awarded Saran a double worth 7,450,000 and Davenport took a blow to his stack.
"How do you find ace-king? Fuck sake ..." the Brit grinned.
Saran's reply was simple: "No more folding," with a smirk on the face.
With 15 players remaining and 14 players being guaranteed a €10,350 main event ticket on top of their cash prize, play has grinded to nearly a halt.
Most players are tanking for minutes at a time for the majority of their decisions, seemingly in an effort to outlast the players at the other table and make the next pay jump.
Hand #1: Georges Chehade went all in for 3,625,000 chips from middle position. In the big blind, [Removed:446] went into the tank and the clock was called. But after less than 30 seconds, Saran decided to fold.
Hand #2: Matthew Davenport opened to 900,000 from the button, but he got a walk.
Hand #3: Artiom Poddubnii raised to 800,000 from the hijack, and was called by Matthew Davenport in the cutoff. On the flop 3♣A♣10♠, Poddubnii made a continuation bet to 1,150,000, and Davenport folded.
Hand #4: Artiom Poddubnii opened again to 800,000 from middle position. But this time, Matthew Davenport three-bet to 2,500,000 from the hijack, making Poddubnii fold.
Hand #5: Matthew Davenport bet 900,000 in middle position, but [Removed:446], seated on his left, raised all in for 4,950,000 chips. After a few seconds, Davenport folded Q♦J♥ face up.
Matthew Davenport had previously lost a medium-sized pot to Sokratis Linaras and both then clashed again soon after.
Linaras defended the big blind and checked the A♠K♦6♦ flop. Davenport bet 475,000 for the Greek to call and the same action repeated on the A♥ turn for 1,650,000.
Once Linaras checked the J♣ on the river, Davenport knuckled it back. Linaras revealed the A♣Q♣ for trips aces and that won the pot.
Down to 250,000, Martynas Brazdžionis shoved from under the gun, and was called by Sabri Neziri in the cutoff. But in the small blind, Eusebiu Jalba decided to raise all in for 5,675,000 chips. Neziri asked for the count, but eventually folded.
Martynas Brazdžionis: Q♥4♥
Eusebiu Jalba: A♥8♣
As expected, Jalba kept the lead on 5♥10♣5♠5♦J♥ to eliminate Brazdžionis.
