Jorge Ufano bet 65,000 from the button and was met with a shove of 455,000 from Florian Kraft in the big blind. Ufano thought it over before opting to call.
Florian Kraft: Q♦Q♥
Jorge Ufano: A♠Q♠
Kraft led and there was no help for the Spaniard Ufano as the board ran out 5♣4♦4♥K♠3♥ to give Kraft a timely double up.
Dennis Wilke in the small blind three-bet jammed for just shy of 700,000 over a button raise by Adem Marjanovic and received a quick call by the chip leader.
Dennis Wilke: A♥J♥
Adem Marjanovic: 8♥8♦
Wilke took the lead with the A♠10♥5♣ flop, yet he was left drawing dead on the 8♠ turn to make the A♣ river a formality. His exit comes in 16th place for €7,025.
With 600,000 in the middle at the turn with the board showing Q♦6♦3♦3♥, Jorge Ufano bet 230,000 from the big blind. After about three minutes Zlatin Penev made the call.
The Q♠ completed the board to make it double-paired. Ufano took four minutes to decide to move all in. Penev went deep into the tank and stared at Ufano throughout his thought process.
Eventually, Penev made the call and it was bad news. Ufano turned over A♥Q♥ for a boat which was better than his 8♣8♠. The Bulgarian headed straight to the cash desk while Ufano dragged in a monster pot.
Just as the tournament director announced to hold up for the three table redraw, the dealer on Julien Sitbon's table dealt the first card of the shuffle, to the disbelief of the Frenchman who was short-stacked and the big blind.
Adem Marjanovic on the button announced all in and Sitbon made the call for 170,000.
Julien Sitbon: 7♠7♥
Adem Marjanovic: 10♥9♦
Sitbon woke up with a pocket pair, but they were cracked on the board of K♣K♦10♣5♥2♠ to give the chip leader a better two pair than Sitbon who headed to the exit in 18th place.
With around 650,000 in the middle on a completed board of K♥J♠9♥8♠J♣, Miroslav Forman announced all-in for 1,305,000 and was called by Adem Marjanovic.
Forman turned over A♦J♦ for trip jacks, but Marjanovic tabled Q♥10♣ for a queen-high straight to send the dominant Forman to the rail and to take the chip lead.
Ali Shahni bet 40,000 from under the gun and was met with a raise of 180,000 from Zlatin Penev on the button. Shahni made the call.
The flop came 10♦8♥3♣ and Penev continued for 220,000. Shahni responded with a shove of 624,000 and was called by Penev.
Ali Shahni: Q♦Q♣
Zlatin Penev: K♣10♠
Shahni hit top pair, but Penev was ahead with the pocket ladies. The 4♦2♦ completed the board to secure a humongous double-up for Shahni and a massive blow to Penev's stack.
Adem Marjanovic bet 32,000 from under the gun and was called by Miroslav Forman in the cutoff, Julien Sitbon on the button and David Boyaciyan in the small blind.
The flop of K♣10♦4♣ saw Forman lead out for 40,000 which got a fold from Sitbon and Boyaciyan, but Marjanovic made the call.
The K♦ turn gave Forman the impetus to bet 200,000 and was met with a shove from Marjanovic for 638,000 which was called by Forman.
Adem Marjanovic: A♠K♠
Miroslav Forman: K♥Q♥
A huge cooler as the case king lands on the turn to give both players trip kings. The 8♦ completed the board and Marjanovic secured a massive double up.
Stefan Bittger lost a flip with pocket jacks against the A♦K♣ of David Boyaciyan to hit the rail.
The all-in showdowns kept on coming, though, as Traian Stanciu became the next casualty just prior to that. He was up with A♥K♣ against the 5♦5♥ of Florian Kraft via three-bet shove for 272,000.
On a board of 8♠6♠2♣7♠10♥, the mighty pair held and the field was down to the last five tables.
Very little time passed before Candido Cappiello three-bet to 170,000 with 25,000 behind. Christian Schneider four-bet jammed and Cappiello eventually called.
Candido Cappiello: A♣J♦
Christian Schneider: A♠Q♣
Schneider was ahead all the way and made trips on the 8♠7♦4♣Q♥Q♠ board.
Andrei Spataru then survived his short-stacked all-in against Schneider for 83,000 with K♦K♣ versus A♣6♥.
