€5,300 EPT Main Event
Giorno 3 completo
Day 3 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague Main Event has concluded here at the Hilton Prague with Jon Kyte in the lead after amassing 2,200,000 in chips. Not far behind him is 2013 EPT Monte-Carlo Main Event champion Steve O'Dwyer, who bagged up 1,915,000 by the end of play.
Kyte is a regular in EPT tournaments with over €1,000,000 in live-tournament earnings. The Norwegian pro recently won a hyper turbo freezeout event at EPT Barcelona earlier this year for €50,325 and is currently best positioned to make a run at his first EPT Main Event title and the €1,030,000 first-place prize.
The competition will be stiff, however, as many top players are still in the hunt, including Teun Mulder (1,875,000), Marle Spragg (1,395,000), PokerStars Ambassador Ramon Colillas (1,015,000), Omar Eljach (1,250,000), Leo Margets (170,000), and EPT Main Event champion Niall Farrell.
Farrell, who won the Main Event in Malta back in 2015, managed to double up in a key spot against Ferdinando D'Alessio early in the day. Farrell carried that momentum to a bag worth 665,000 in chips.

The action got underway with 175 hopefuls looking to continue their run at EPT glory. Everyone was already assured a minimum payout of €9,100 for making it to Day 3 and it didn't take long for the chips to start rapidly changing hands.
Marle Spragg got off to a hot start, including a hand where she flopped two pair against Andrzej Powalka. Spragg held onto the momentum and spent the latter part of the day at the feature table before bagging up a top-ten stack.
Garcia held the chip lead at various points throughout the day and was responsible for several eliminations, including a hand where he rivered a set for a double knockout.
O'Dwyer remained active throughout the day and was among the chip leaders after eliminating Ka Kwan Lau, but he took a hit to his stack after running a straight into Max Neugebauer's flush. O'Dwyer recovered nicely, however, and nearly chipped his way back into the lead before play ended for the day.
2022 EPT Prague champion Grzegorz Glowny gave a valiant effort before busting late in the day after running ace-queen into Marco Regonaschi's aces. His deep run officially ended in 52nd place (€18,260).
Other notables to fall short of a Day-4 berth include Dimitar Danchev (150th - €9,100), Ran Shahar (118th - €12,020), Robin Ylitalo (97th - €12,020), Niklas Astedt (95th - €13,840), Tamas Adamszki (64th - €15,900), and Patrik Jaros (49th - €18,260).

Stay tuned for full chip counts and a recap of the day's action.
Firoz Mangroe moved all in for 150,000 from middle position and Bleron Maliqi called in the big blind. Players flipped their cards, with Mangroe at risk.
Firoz Mangroe: A♣J♦
Bleron Maliqi: K♦K♠
The board ran out A♦4♦Q♦6♥9♥. Maliqi had pocket kings, but Mangroe paired his ace on the flop. He held to win the pot and double up his stack.

On the last hand of the day, Serge Chechin opened to 50,000 from middle position, and was called twice: by Marco Regonaschi in the cutoff and by Andraz Gognjavec in the big blind.
On a flop of 4♦3♦Q♣, Gognjavec and Chechin checked to Regonaschi, who bet 80,000. Gognjavec was the only one to call.
The two remaining players checked the turn 9♦. But on the river 7♥, Gognjavec bet 125,000. Regonaschi quickly called with QxQx, but ran into Gognjavec's straight with 6♣5♣.

Heads-up on a flop of 2♣Q♠3♠, Ran Ilani bet 25,000 from under the gun before Teun Mulder raised to 68,000 in the big blind.
Ilani reraised to 165,000 and Mulder called. The turn was the 4♠ and Mulder checked. Ilani bet 60,000 and Mulder raised again, this time making it 135,000. Ilani folded.

Adria Diaz: A♥9♠
Jon Kyte: A♠Q♣
Diaz was dominated and at risk of elimination as the board came 6♥K♦J♥3♠. The river, though, was the 9♦ and Diaz spiked a pair to double up.

Jon Kyte opened to 26,000 from the cutoff and saw "John One" raise to 105,000 on the button. The Norwegian called and it went to a flop.
The board came 6♥5♥Q♠ and Kyte checked it to "John One". He made it 55,000 and was called.
An 8♣ on the turn was again checked-called by Kyte after "John One" bet out for 125,000.
It was a similar story on the river, with Kyte first checking the 3♦. "John One" made it 157,000, firing for a third street and sending his opponent into the tank. Holding 9♥9♠, Kyte found a call and his gutsy play was rewarded - as "John One" tabled K♣J♥.
