The open-raise of Peter Jorgne for 25,000 came from an early position with the K♠K♥. David Kaufmann flat-called with A♥J♣ in the small blind and outflopped the 2023 runner-up on A♣7♦5♥. Jorgne continued for 20,000 but Kaufmann then check-raised to 65,000 for the Swede to call.

Kaufmann checked again the 10♣ turn and Jorgne checked it back to see the 10♦ river, on which the German bet 150,000 into 204,000. Jorgne didn't lose any further chips in the hand as he opted to fold.

Olofsson Leaves Chuttani on Fumes With Lucky River

Around 150,000 was already in the pot as Stefan Olofsson and Sahil Chuttani went to a flop of A♣4♠6♣. Olofsson then bet 22,000 from under the gun before Chuttani raised to 55,000 on the button.

Olofsson then moved all in for 362,000 and Chuttani called. "Do you have a set?" he asked Olofsson as they tabled their cards.

Olofsson didn't have a set but instead showed a flush draw as Chuttani was ahead with his top pair. The Q♠ turn was no help to Olofsson, but he spiked the 4♣ on the river to complete his flush and double up.

Tablemate Slimane Mameche told Olofsson he folded K♣10♣ after the hand while Chuttani was left on an extreme short stack.

Pavlov Takes From Picone Once Again

Igor Picone opened the Q♠J♦ for 25,000 and earned calls from Atanas Pavlov with the A♣Q♦ on the button as well as David Kaufmann with the 9♣8♥ in the big blind.

Only Pavlov called a bet of 30,000 by Picone on the 10♦5♣3♠ flop before they checked the 10♥ turn. Picone bet the A♠ river for 35,000 for Pavlov to raise to 155,000, getting the best of the Belgian once more as Picone let go.

Perez Times Out In Huge Pot

PokerNews caught the action as the flop read 7♦4♠9♦ with approximately 300,000 in the middle.

Panagiotis Mavritsakis, in the hijack, had a wager of 110,000 out in front of him. Francisco Perez, in the cutoff, made the call.

The A♦ turn slowed down Mavritsakis. Perez took the lead with a very small bet of 60,000 and Mavritsakis check-raised to 160,000. Perez called.

The river landed the 7♠ and Mavritsakis emptied the clip, moving all in and putting Perez to the test for his remaining 340,000. Perez, who had no time banks left, watched the clock in indecision as his countdown eventually hit zero. His hand was declared dead and Mavritsakis claimed this pot without a showdown.

Hammouchi Succeeds With Lipp Reading For Big Double

Matthias Lipp raised to 25,000 with K♣10♥ and Younes Hammouchi called with the Q♠10♦ to then take the lead on the Q♦9♠6♦ flop. Hammouchi check-called for 35,000 and did so again for 80,000 on the 8♥ turn.

The 4♥ river failed to improve Lipp but he was not done yet with the hand once Hammouchi checked. Lipp opted to move all-in for 354,000 effective.

Hammouchi used two time bank extensions and then called with five seconds remaining by flicking in a single chip to score a double.

Nearly the entire shot clock of Picone disappeared before he checked. Pavlov bet 260,000 with two and a half blinds behind to force out the rampant Belgian.
