RGPS Tulsa Main Event Day 1b Kicks off at 11 AM; Day 1c at 6 PM

Hard Rock
Hard Rock

After an exciting (and rather interesting) Day 1a of the RGPS $800 Main Event at Hard Rock Tulsa, 20 players of the total 160 have bagged up to return on Sunday at high noon for Day 2. These entries generated a prizepool of $112,000, which means the guarantee has already been hit and is projected to reach close to $300,000.

The final two starting flights will take place today, with Day 1b kicking off bright and early at 11:00 a.m. while Day 1c will have an evening start at 6:00 p.m.

The stack to beat for today belongs to one Zachary Smith, who bagged the chip lead last night as he went on a heater to secure 608,000 chips in his bag.

Players to fire the 1a session and bust before bagging included former champion Pete Petree, RunGood Ambassadors Michael Lech and Kasey Mills, as well as RGPS regular Steven Glasscock, who unfortunately busted just a few spots from the money.

As with Day 1a, players will begin with 30,000 in chips, with the blinds beginning at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Every level will last 30 minutes, with 15-minute breaks after every four levels. After level 8, players will go on their final break before registration closes and play will continue until 12.5% of the field remains, which will see the remaining players bag up to return Day 2, in the money. Those who do not find a bag in this flight can exercise their right to re-enter the third and final flight beginning tonight at 6:00 p.m

As always, keep PokerNews bookmarked as it is the only place to find all the action in the RGPS Tulsa Main Event!

Traber Shoves Turn to Double

Livello 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

After betting 2,400 on a flop of K2J and getting two callers, James Traber moved all in for around 7,000 when the turn came out the K.

The first opponent tossed in his cards but James Indiveri made the call to put him at risk.

James Traber: K5
James Indiveri: J10

Traber had Indiveri already drawing dead, so the J on the river just added insult to injury for Indiveri as the chips were pushed over to his opponent.

Soliz Makes Quads to Take Early Lead

Livello 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

After some preflop back-and-forth, Christopher Daniels moved all in and Clayton Soliz made the call to put him at risk.

Christopher Daniels: AK
Clayton Soliz: 44

An ace appeared right in the window to give Daniels a sense of hope, but right behind it came a four on the flop of A42 which left him drawing dead to a chop.

The 4 on the turn really sealed the deal as Soliz made quads while the 7 rolled off on the river.

"Well when did you like it?" another player asked Soliz as Daniels shook his head and made his exit. "Preflop, " Soliz replied with a smile as he stacked his new chips to put him over 100,000 for an early chip lead.
