Set-Over-Set = Short Stack for Endo

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Daisuke Endo opened for 6,000 from early position and Mickey Petersen re-raised out of the big to 14,000. Endo landed on a call.

Flop: {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Peterson led out for 12,000, prompting a pot-raise from Endo, which was enough to put Peterson all-in. Peterson snap-called.

Peterson: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Endo: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The {Q-Diamonds} turn and {A-Clubs} river did not change anything, and Endo was knocked down to 40,000 while Peterson climbed to 94,000.

Aces for Mercer

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Facing a raise to 4,500, Cyriel Dohmen three-bet to 10,600 only to have David Mercer move all in for 28,800. The original raiser folded, but Dohmen made the call to put Mercer at risk.

Dohmen: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Mercer: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to see Mercer snag a double to roughly 63,000 in chips.

Alessio Values Ritchie

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Charles Ritchie opened the action with a raise and Alessio Isaia defended his big blind as the flop fell {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Isaia check-called an 8,000-chip bet from Ritchie before the {8-Hearts} on the turn was checked though. When the river landed the {6-Diamonds}, Isaia pushed out a tantalizing bet of just 2,000 which Ritchie called.

Isaia tabled his {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for jacks-up, and once Ritchie folded, he collected the pot.

Jacks Good for Harris

Catching the action on the {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, we found Mika Paasonen checking over to Walter Harris who opted to fire out a bet of 5,800.

Paasonen responded by making it 29,000 only to have Harris move all in for his 43,700 total. Paasonen made the call and the cards were tabled.

Paasonen: {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Harris: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

With Harris in great shape to double, the {3-Hearts} and {A-Spades} on the turn and river would see Harris' jacks hold as he moves over the 100,000-chip mark while Paasonen slips to just 30,000 in chips.

Widdoes Whacked

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Matt Widdoes opened for 7,000 in early position and was called by Luke Marsh to his direct left. Ariel Celestino squeezed to 21,000 and change from middle position and Widdoes called off his remaining stack. Marsh got out of the way.

Widdoes: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Celestino: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board sealed the deal for Widdoes, who was sent to the rail. Celestino is up to 98,000.

Sluzinski Sent Packing, Vaughn Sits Atop

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Facing a raise to 4,000, Jeff Sluzinski three-bet to 10,000 only to have Jeremy Vaughn slide out a four-bet amounting to 23,000.

The original raiser folded buy Sluzinski pushed out 38,200. Vaughn moved all in and Sluzinski made the call for his tournament life.

Sluzinski: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Vaughn: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

There would be no race won for Sluzinski as the board was spread {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to end his tournament as Vaughn soars to 207,000 to become our clear chip leader.

DeMaci Gets to Six-Figures

Christopher DeMaci opened to 4,500 from under the gun and both Dajuan Whorley and John Gordon made the call to see a {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop fall and the action checked round.

DeMaci led for 7,700 when the turn landed the {J-Spades} only to have Whorley bump it up to 17,2000 as Gordon folded.

DeMaci made the call, and when both players checked the {4-Diamonds} on the river, DeMaci's {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} bested Whorley's {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} as he slips to 42,000 while DeMaci moves into the six-figure club.

Leah Eliminated

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Mike Leah
Mike Leah

We missed the action, but are being told a small raising-war broke out preflop between Nick Brancato and Michael Leah, which ended up with Leah all-in for his last 20,000 and change.

Leah: {10-}{10-}
Brancato: {A-}{A-}

The board was no help to Leah, who was forced to leave the field.

Paasonen Strikes Gutta-ball to Double

Livello 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Benjamin Maerefat opened to 4,500 and was called by Mika Paasonen to see a {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop fall.

Maerefat pushed out his continuation-bet of 8,400 only to have Paasonen move all in for 21,800. Maerefat made the call.

Maerefat: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Paasonen: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

With Paasonen pushing with a gutshot and two-dead overcards, the {8-Diamonds} on the turn would be all that he needed to snatch the pot from Maerefat as he moves to just over 50,000 in chips.
