Friedman Fries Schwartz with Full House

Livello 14

Omaha-8

We caught up on the action with the final board reading {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Ylon Schwartz facing a bet of 4,000 from Adam Friedman. Schwartz stood up from his chair as he studied the board and then looked over at Friedman before making the call. Friedman quietly said "ten-three" and exposed his hole cards: {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a flopped two pair and a rivered full house.

Schwartz, looking to solidify his reputation as one of the world's best mixed game players, shot a look of contempt at Friedman as he asked aloud "Ten-three? How do you have ten-three there?" The player's table broke as this hand ended and Schwartz was slow to leave, still staring at the board in shocked confusion.

Razavian the Razz Man

Livello 14

Razz:

We caught up on a hand of razz as Parviz Razavian and an opponent played a heads-up pot.

Razavian: (X)(X) - {6-}{4-}{9-}{Q-}
Opponent: (X)(X) - {7-}{3-}{K-}{J-}

The opponent raised on third street, making it 2,000 to go and the short-stacked Razavian made the call. On fourth and fifth streets his opponent led out for 4,000 chips and Razavian came along. After sixth street was distributed it was Razavian's turn to lead out for 4,000 and his opponent's turn to flat call.

With only 2,300 left, Razavian went all in in the dark and after squeezing his down card, his opponent made the crying call. Razavian tabled the {A-}{2-}{7-} for an A-2-4-6-7 low and took the pot down, more than doubling up in the process.

Bach Busts One

Livello 14

Hold'em:

David Bach fired a bet on the {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and his opponent raised to put himself all in. Bach called and showed the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}. The all-in player held the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river the {8-Hearts} to keep Bach in front and send the chips his way. He eliminated his opponent and moved to 130,000 in chips.

Eli Elezra Electric on Day 2

Livello 14
Eli Elezra has been our chip leader Through days 1 and 2.
Eli Elezra has been our chip leader Through days 1 and 2.

Stud-8:

We caught the aftermath of a hand in which chip leader Eli Elezra scooped the pot with queens up. The dealer scrambled the cards before we could accurately record them, but we saw two queens and two fives among Elezra's holding and the entire pot was shipped his way.

On the very next deal, Elezra and one opponent played it down to seventh street.

Elezra: (X)(X) - {8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Clubs} - (X)
Opponent: (X)(X) - {4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} - (X)

Elezra led out on third and fourth streets and was called both times. On fifth and sixth streets, both Elezra and his opponent opted to check. After the dealer tossed each player a down card on seventh street, Elezra fired a bet of 4,000 at his opponent, who responded by saying, "You don't have to bet just because you caught it," before she made the call.

Elezra flashed a smile at the other player as he tabled the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for a busted flush draw and a pair of aces made on seventh street. The opponent held {3-}{5-}{7-} for a 2-3-4-5-7 low and the pot was chopped.

After the hand Elezra told the table, "Nobody wants to give me credit... but that's fine, keep doing it," as he added even more chips to his growing castle.

Flack Knocked Back

Livello 14

Omaha-8:

Six-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Layne Flack bet the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop and his opponent called. The turn was the {6-Clubs} to pair the board and Flack bet again. The river then completed the board with the {J-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Flack showed the {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} for sevens and sixes with an ace. His opponent tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for aces and sixes to take the pot.

Flack was knocked back to 12,000 in chips.

Chiu Eliminated

Livello 14

Omaha-8:

David Chiu was all in on the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. His opponent held the {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Chiu's full house fell behind after the {4-Diamonds} hit the turn and gave his opponent a higher full house. The river completed the board with the {6-Hearts} and that meant Chiu was out the door as he was unable to win either half of the pot.

Bach Does Broadway

Livello 13
David Bach on Day 1
David Bach on Day 1

Stud:

We found David Bach playing a heads-up pot in a hand of seven card stud.

Bach: (X)(X) - {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{J-Spades}{Q-Clubs} -(X)
Opponent: (X)(X) - {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} - (X)

We missed the preliminary betting but on sixth street Bach fired a bet of 3,000 into the middle and his opponent made the call. After receiving their down cards on seventh street, Bach again bet 3,000 and his opponent looked him up.

Bach tabled the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a Broadway straight and his opponent mucked his cards. Bach has now eclipsed the 100,000 chip plateau and sits with approximately 107,000 in his stack.

Elezra pulled the {9-Clubs} on seventh and Amourette had a sweat. He needed to make a straight, but couldn't do it when he pulled the {3-Hearts}.
