Dan Shak: / /
Alex Kravchenko: / /
Third Player: / FOLDED
Joining the action in a three-way pot on fourth and it was checked to Kravchenko who bet with another player, as well as Dan Shak both calling. Shak made open sevens on fifth but checked to Kravchenko who bet, Shak being the only caller. Shak continued to call bets on sixth and seventh but Kravchenko showed for a six-high straight and a 6-5-4-3-2 low. Shak could only show for aces up with a 8-7-6-2-A low and got scooped by the Russian.

Bari: / /
Smith: / /
A situation that will be a familiar occurrence over this event as this hand went to showdown and Bari flipped for sevens and a 7-6-5-3-2 low, Smith turned over for a flush and all the chips they'd previously put into the middle were sent straight back to them.
We encountered what is likely to be one of the toughest tables so far.
Sitting together at one table is John Juanda, Phil Laak, Jason Mercier, Justin Bonomo, John Hennigan and David Benyamine. We suspect there aren't too many soft spots in this event, however, this particular table has 10 WSOP bracelets worth of talent on it.
Phil Laak: / /
David Benyamine: / /
Benyamine had the bring in and Laak completed with the ace, Benyamine being the only caller. Fourth and fifth street were checked down before Benyamine bet his board on sixth, Laak check-called and both players checked seventh. Laak turned over for just a pair of nines but it was good enough to scoop as Benyamine couldn't beat even that.
"I'm getting the max!" joked Laak.
Christopher George: / /
Bertrand Grospellier: / /
Third Player: / /
Joining the action on fifth street it was checked to Grospellier who bet with both other players calling, ElkY bet again on sixth when he made open aces and again both players called. Everyone checked on seventh, ElkY showed for a full house and George manage to make a low (although we couldn't exactly see what it was) to take the other half.
So far we have a little less than 100 entrants, however, as you might expect from any $10,000 buy-in event - the field is stacked.
Thus far we've spotted Gavin Smith, Bernard Lee, George Lind, Richard Ashby, Jason Mercier, John Hennigan, Phil Laak, David Benyamine, Shannon Shorr, Betrand Grospellier, Dan Kelly, Jennifer Harman, Mike Sexton, Allen Kessler, Frank Kassela, Justin Smith, Huck Seed, Barry Greenstein, and Daniel Negreanu.
Phil Laak is one of the many entrants in today's event. However, he might have shown his hand a little early as he has a fresh copy of Doyle Brunson's Super System 2 and it is open on the page, "How to Play Stud Hi/Lo..."
