Rest of Planet ≠ Hellmuth

Livello 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Phil Hellmuth opened for 11,000 from UTG, then Matthew Vengrin reraised to 23,000 from the cutoff. It folded back to Hellmuth who spent about a minute restacking his chips before sitting up in his chair.

"The rest of the planet would have gone with this hand," he said. "I'm just figuring out if I can get away." By then Daniel Negreanu had wandered over from the next table, and Hellmuth asked Negreanu if he'd like a look at his hand. "Sure," Negreanu shrugged. Vengrin started to object, but Hellmuth was kidding. He did show his hand, however, to everyone as he mucked -- {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Vengrin showed his {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} as well.

Hellmuth is down to just under 60,000, while Vengrin has 315,000.
