Erick Lindgren Eliminated

Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

We don't know how the action went, but when we got to the table Erick Lindgren was moving all in on a {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. He instantly received a call from Dimitar Danchev who tabled {J-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a flopped flush. Lindgren held {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens. Lindgren was going to need running cards to boat up.

He received no such wish as the remaining cards came out {8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Lindgren was eliminated about six away from the money.

Wrong Time for Kjerstad to Shove

Action folded to Stephan Kjerstad in the small blind and he shipped his entire stack of around 60,000, which Jason Koon snap-called from the big blind.

Kjerstad: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Koon: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

"Let's see if I'm that good," Koon said as the dealer prepared to deal the flop.

"You are," said another player at the table as the flop came down {7-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The {J-Diamonds} gave Kjerstad a double gut-shot straight draw, but the {Q-Clubs} river did not complete it. Koon is up to 368,000.

Smith Ships River

There was close to 100,000 in the middle when we reached Table 360, and Elliot Smith was all in for another 40,000 or so. William Thorson thought momentarily, then plopped in enough chips to call.

Elliot opened up a pair of black kings for kings full, Thorson mucked, and Elliot secured the double up.

Deeb Doubles Koon and then Benefield Doubles Deeb

Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb

When we caught up to Freddy Deeb and his table, where he was mixing it up by moving all in on a {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} board. His opponent Jason Koon instantly called and flipped over {8-}{2-} for a straight. Deeb sheepishly showed {K-}{10-} for a pair of tens. Deeb would need an eight on the river in order to chop the pot. A {10-Clubs} river gave Deeb an irrelevent three of a kind.

After this hand Deeb was cut down to 27,000 while Koon was hovering around 315,000 in chips.

The very next hand Deeb moved all in and received a caller in one of our chip leaders David Benefield.

Deeb: {7-}{7-}
Benefield: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

It was off to the races as the dealer spread out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} giving Deeb a set of sevens. If he could avoid a few run run draws Deeb could double up. The {k-Diamonds} turn sealed the deal as no card could possible come to take the pot away from Deeb. A harmless {3-Diamonds} was spiked on the river and Deeb doubled up to around 54,000.

Shortly there after though Deeb was eliminated.

El Sayed Calls for His "One Time"

We're not absolutely certain, but it appeared action folded to Sam El Sayed on the button, he moved all in for his last 80,000 or so, and Tristan Wade made the call from the small blind. If it didn't go down exactly like that, rest assured all the chips were in preflop.

Wade: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
El Sayed: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

El Sayed was ahead and at risk. "One time, " he pleaded as the dealer put out the flop . . . {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Not so good for El Sayed. "One time," he said again headed to the turn . . . {K-Hearts}. No help.

"One time," El Sayed pleaded on last time; however, it fell on deaf ears as the {J-Hearts} peeled off on the river. El Sayed has been eliminated from the tournament.

Marafioti Flushed Away

Three players saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, including Matt Marafioti, Thorsten Schafer, and Ben "Benba" Lamb. The action checked the Lamb who bet 13,000, and both Marafioti and Schafer called. The turn was another heart - the {8-Hearts} - and Marafioti moved all in for 60,000. Schafer folded, and Lamb called.

Marafioti: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Lamb: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

With a pair of aces and a superior flush draw, Lamb had a vice-grip on the hand. The {5-Hearts} on the river completed said flush, just for fun, and Marafioti was eliminated from the tournament.

Lamb is now nearing 700,000 chips.

Gags Getting More

Phil Laak opened to 9,000 with the button, and Michael "Gags30" Gagliano defended his big blind. Both players checked the {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop, and the {7-Clubs} on the turn.

The river was the {a-Hearts}, and Gagliano led for 14,500. Laak thought for a moment before tossing out three orange T5,000 chips, making the call. Gagliano opened up {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens, Laak mucked, and Gagliano picked up the pot.

Menard vs. Smith

With about 28,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Elliot Smith bet 11,000 and was met with a three-bet to 24,000 by Jeremy Menard, who left himself just 45,000 behind.

Smith hit the tank for a long time. "Do you want me to put it in," he asked Menard, who simply shrugged. Another minute in the tank and Smith opted to lay down his hand.
