Gates' Check-Raise Fails
After a player raised from under the gun to 3,000, action folded to Garry "Beast Mode" Gates in the small blind. Gates tanked for a bit and then made the call. The big blind folded and the flop was placed out 
. Gates checked to the preflop raiser and he bet 3,000. Gates thought for a little bit and then put in a check-raise to 8,300. His opponent wasted little time in moving all in and Gates quickly released his hand.
