Hachem Mucks the End

From the cutoff seat, 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe Hachem raised. He was called by the small blind, Alan Myerson, and the big blind, Roger Hairabedian. Myerson drew two, Hairabedian took three and Hachem drew one. Action checked to Hachem and he bet. Both of his opponents made the call.

On the second draw, Myerson took one, Hairabedian took two and Hachem took one. Action then checked to Hachem and he bet again. Both players called.

On the third draw, Myerson drew one, Hairabedian two and Hachem stood pat. Action checked to Hachem and he bet. Myerson called and Hairabedian folded. Hachem tossed his hand into the muck, not showing it and tapping the table. Myerson needed to show in order to win the pot and showed {J-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} to win the pot.

Time For That Chip And A Chair Speech...

After a big hand with Brett Richey and Jeff Lisandro, Daniel Negreanu is left with only 200, not even one big blind. It's time for someone to give him that old "all you need is a chip and a chair" speech, and they better do it soon.

Negreanu raised it up on the button and was re-raised by Richey in the small blind. Lisandro called from the big blind and Negreanu called as well.

All three players drew two each and Richey led out with a check. Lisandro bet out for 600 and both players called. Richey and Negreanu both drew two again and Lisandro drew just one.

Richey checked, Lisandro bet 1,200, Negreanu re-raised to 2,400, Richey then check-raised all in for a total of 2,600 and both players called. Richey and Lisandro both stood pat on the last draw and Negreanu drew one. Lisandro bet 1,200 and Negreanu called it with just 200 left behind.

Lisandro showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} for a monster hand, but Richey did him one better, showing him the {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} wheel.

Lisandro fell to 29,000, Negreanu to just 200, and Richey moved up to 15,000 after the hand.

Negreanu Outta Here

After falling to just 200 in chips, Daniel Negreanu managed to quadruple up to a whopping 800 in chips, but lost it all on the very next hand.

Negreanu was all in before the first draw against Jeff Lisandro and Dany Georges. Negreanu and Lisandro drew three and Georges drew two. All three players checked, Lisandro and Georges each drew two and Negreanu only drew one.

Lisandro checked, but Georges chose to bet and Lisandro called. All three players drew one last card on the third draw and Lisandro and Georges checked the last round of betting.

Negreanu turned over {j-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} but it was no match for the {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} of Lisandro. Negreanu hits the rail and Lisandro moves back up over 30,000 in chips.

Filippi Gaining Ground

Livello 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Amnon Fillipi raised it up from middle position and Pat Pezzin re-raised to 1,200. Justin Bonomo called from the big blind but Filippi re-raised to 1,800 and both Pezzin and Bonomo called.

Filippi stood pat, but Bonomo and Pezzin drew two each. Bonomo led out with a check, Filippi bet and both Pezzin and Bonomo called.

Filippi continued to stand pat and both Pezzin drew two again. The action was the same again as Bonomo checked, Filippi bet, and both Bonomo and Pezzin called.

Filippi stood pat one last time, and Bonomo and Pezzin each drew one again. All three players checked the last round of betting and Filippi's patting the whole way turned out to be a success as his {9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} took down the pot. He is up to 30,000 after the hand and has doubled the stack he started today with

Hang Hoarding Chips

Leonard Martin started this hand out by betting under the gun and receiving a caller in Robert Williamson III from the small blind. Tommy Hang in the big blind however opted to reraise. Williamson and Martin obliged and made the call. Hang then took one card while Martin and WIlliamson took two.

Hang again came out betting after a check from Williamson. Not to be frightened Martin and WIlliamson made the call and both took one card. A satisfied Hang however stood pat and bet. After everyone called Hang's bet Martin and WIlliamson again opted to take one card.

Hang not to be detoured made one last bet and was able to get Martin to call, while WIlliamson folded. Hang showed {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for an eight low, while Martin simply mucked his cards.

Katchalov More Than Quadruples Day 2 Starting Stack

When we started the day, Eugene Katchalov had a sad little pile of chips amounting to 6,100, less than what the players started the event with. But have no fear, Katchalov has turned that sad little stack into a happy above average stack worth 27,000.

In this particular hand, Katchalov raised it up and got calls from Scott Seiver in the small blind and Dany Georges in the big blind. Katchalov drew one, Seiver drew two, and Georges drew three.

Seiver and and Georges both checked and then called the bet from Katchalov. Seiver and Georges drew two and Katchalov stood pat.

Again Seiver and Georges both checked then called the bet from Katchalov. Katchalov stood pat again and Seiver and Georges both only drew one this time.

Yet again, Seiver and Georges checked to Katchalov who bet out. Seiver elected to save the bet and fold but Georges called and mucked when Katchalov threw down his {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}

As we said above, Katchalov has significantly increased his starting stack from the start of the day and is sitting with around 27,000

Dwan's Hot Streak Ends.

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

After building his stack up to a respectable 17,000 early on in Level 1, Tom Dwan has found a way to get rid of all those new found chips and he is busto.

Dwan started the hand pretty short but raised it up from the button and was re-raised by Scott Seiver and Dwan called all in. Seiver and Dwan had the same drawing schedule after the all in as both drew two on the first draw, one on the second draw, and pat on the third draw. Seiver had the best of it though with {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and he scored the knockout of "durrrr". Look for Dwan to make his way straight to registration and continue his mission for that elusive first bracelet in whatever other events are going on today (find them on PokerNews.com of course)
