Cameron Off To A New Tournament

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded around to Team Pokerstars Pro Leonardo Fernandez on the button, and he raised it up to 4,000. The small blind got out of the way, and Cameron New thought it over before he shoved the rest of his stack in, worth about 32,200 total. Fernandez made the call, and he saw that he had New dominated.

New: {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Fernandez: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

The flop came out {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}, which provided no help to New. The {j-Spades} hit the turn, and New was drawing dead to an ace on the river. It came the {j-Diamonds}, and Fernandez secured the knockout, while New hit the rail.

Somerville Done

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Jason Somerville - out
Jason Somerville - out

From early position, John Eames raised to 3,500 and was three-bet by Daniel Idema to 8,500. Jason Somerville was in the cutoff and moved all in for 14,700. Eames shipped over the top for about 60,000 and Idema was forced to give up his hand.

Eames: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Somerville: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Eames started counting out the chips he would need to give Somerville but stopped when the flop was {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. The turn was the {10-Spades}, the river was the {2-Spades} and Eames won the pot with a full house.

Somerville stood up and said, "Good luck, guys," with no other choice but to hit the rail.

WestmenloKK

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

First in from the button, Gualter Salles opened to 3,700, and Isasc "westmenloAA" Baron three-bet to 10,100 from the small blind. In the big, John Eames spent a long while considering before he cold four-bet to 46,600. Or at least that's how much he slid out. He may have announced an all in, because Salles folded, and Baron turned over {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} with his last 69,100 chips at risk. So however it went after the three-bet, the two got it in preflop. Eames showed down {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}, and he only had about 20,000 chips more than Baron.

The board ran {5-Spades} {2-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}, and that's a big double for Baron. It pushes him all the way up to 143,700, leaving Eames with just those few fightin' chips.

Toth Taken Out

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Team Pokerstars Pro Richard Toth open shoved under the gun for 20,300. Action folded around to Mikhail Yakovlev on the button, and he shoved all in over the top for 23,600 total. Michael Leah was next to act in the small blind, and it was his turn to go all-in, having both of them covered. The big blind folded, and all three players flipped their cards up.

Toth: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Yakovlev: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Leah: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

All of the action and drama that built up leading to the flop was quickly squashed when Yakovlev flopped a monster, as it came {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. He could only lose if it came running jacks, kings, or aces, and that wouldn't happen as the turn came the {6-Spades} and the river brought the {8-Spades}. Yakovlev nearly tripled up on the hand, Leah dropped down to 9,300, and Toth was sent to the rail.

Jesse Cohen Taking it Slow

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With 27,800 behind on the button (17 big blinds), Jesse Cohen raised to 3,200. Jannick Wrang called from the big blind and the flop was {10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Wrang checked again. Cohen bet 4,000 only to be check-raised to 10,000. Cohen called and the river was the {q-Hearts}. Wrang checked for a third time and Cohen moved all in for 14,400. Wrang folded and Cohen used that slower approach to increase his stack to 41,200.

Adelstein Coolers Lodden For Chip Lead

Livello 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Flopping a set is usually a poker player's dream, but in some rare instances, flopping a set can get you into a world of trouble. Unfortunately for Team Pokerstars Pro Johnny Lodden, he just fell victim to the dreaded set over set mega-cooler, and as a result, Garrett Adelstein is you new chip leader.

When we came to the table, Lodden and Adelstein were already in the middle of a raising war on a flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Adelstein had a bet of 38,000 out there, but Lodden had put out a raise of 65,000 total. Action was on Adelstein, who counted out a reraise to 98,200, representing most of his stack. Lodden tanked for about 30 seconds, and though it seemed like he knew the cooler spot that he was in, he went all in. Adelstein instantly called, and Lodden's fears became true.

Adelstein: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Lodden: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Lodden would need to catch the case seven to win the monster pot, but he couldn't do it on the turn, {10-Diamonds}, or the river, {j-Clubs}. Adelstein counted out his chips and it ended up being 140,100 total. Despite the hit, Lodden still has a healthy 80,000, which is just below the average stack in the room.
