E-Fro With a Two-Outer

Livello 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Eric Froehlich fist pumps his double up.
Eric Froehlich fist pumps his double up.

From middle position, Mikhail Yakovlev raised to 95,000. Two to his left in the cutoff, Eric Froehlich three-bet him to 250,000. Yakovlev thought for a bit before making the call.

The flop was {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Yakovlev checked to Froehlich who moved all in for 1,010,000. Yakovlev confirmed that Froehlich had said, "All in" with the dealer and then immediately made the call. Froehlich had {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} but had shoved into the current nuts. Yakovlev held {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and had his opponent drawing very thin.

However, the turn changed everything. The {q-Diamonds} spiked the board and left Yakovlev looking for the case ten. Froehlich's rail, that happens to include Justin Bonomo (who was seated at this very table last night), Isaac Haxton, and others celebrated with their man when the queen hit.

The {6-Spades} landed on the river and Froehlich goes from being on the brink of elimination to our new chip leader in the blink of an eye. Yakovlev is still very much alive though with 1.6 million.

Tapis For Teisseire

Livello 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Antonin Teisseire does his best Gene Simmons impression after doubling up.
Antonin Teisseire does his best Gene Simmons impression after doubling up.

Eric Froehlich opened the button to 100,000, and Antonin Teisseire three-bet shoved for 620,000 from the big blind. Froehlich made the call, and Teissere was in good shape to double.

Showdown
Froehlich: {A-Hearts} {7-Clubs}
Teisseire: {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

The {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} {8-Hearts} meant Froehlch was picking up some chop outs, but the turn {6-Diamonds} and river {Q-Clubs} failed to come through. That's just fine for Teissere who notches a big double to push up to 1.305 million, and that puts him just ahead of Froehlich who steps back to 1.25 million.

Jim Routos Eliminated in 9th Place ($61,899)

Livello 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Jim Routos knocks the felt after being eliminated in 9th.
Jim Routos knocks the felt after being eliminated in 9th.

Antonin Teisseire opened the action from middle position with a raise to 70,000. Jim Routos three-bet him to 175,000 from the cutoff before Narendra Banwari four-bet bet from the big blind to 400,000. Teisseire folded and Routos moved all in for exactly one million chips. Banwari had Routos barely covered and made the call.

Routos: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Banwari: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flop was {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Banwari vaulted into the lead with a pair of queens. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river was the {4-Spades}, both bricks for Routos.

He is eliminated in 9th place while Banwari now has 2.3 million chips.

Yakovlev To 3 Million

Livello 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Adam Geyer raised to open the pot, and Mikhail Yakovlev called from the big blind to go heads up to the flop.

It came {4-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {A-Spades}, and Geyer continued out with 120,000 more. Yakovlev flatted, and he called another 275,000 after the {J-Clubs} turn. Both players checked through the {Q-Hearts} river, and Geyer flashed the {J-Spades}. It was no good; Yakovlev showed up {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} to take the pot with a pair of kings. This one moves him up to about 3 million!

Michael Fosco Eliminated in 10th Place ($48,843)

Livello 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Fosco is eliminted in 10th.
Mike Fosco is eliminted in 10th.

Darryl Ronconi raised from the hijack to 75,000 before Michael Fosco moved all in for 600,000 in the cutoff. The rest of the players folded back to Ronconi and he made the call.

Ronconi: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Fosco: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flop was {5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{j-Spades} which gave Fosco some extra outs with a straight draw. The turn bricked off with the {4-Spades} and the {6-Hearts} river was no help either. Fosco hits the rail as our official final table bubbler and the players are now on a 20 minute break as they prepare themselves to chase that bracelet.

Ronconi Pays Off Aces

Livello 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Darryl Ronconi opened to 75,000, and Mikhail Yakovlev three-bet to 160,000 from the button. Ronconi called, and we'd go forward to the most significant action we've seen in 20 minutes. The {K-Clubs} {9-Spades} {7-Diamonds} flop drew a continuation bet of 185,000 from Yakovlev, and Ronconi check-called.

The {8-Hearts} turned, and Ronconi check-called another 250,000. One more time on the {8-Clubs} river, Ronconi check-called 300,000 to see the showdown. Yakovlev tabled {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}, and aces up were good enough to win the pot.

That gives Yakovlev the chip lead with 2.1 million, knocking Ronconi down into the middle of the pack for the first time in a while with 1.25 million.
