To Patch or Not To Patch
Without question, the majority of the table talk in the room surrounds the big announcement today regarding the suspension of Full Tilt Poker's operating license by the AGCC. If you're out of the loop, have a look at the article here. And don't feel bad for being out of the loop because you're definitely not the only one.
Over in the White section, we eavesdropped on a conversation between Andy Black (who is a Full Tilt Red Pro) and McLean Karr. Karr and the rest of the table were inquiring why Black was still patched up today, and he looked confused. He thought they were talking about the lingering non-payment issue for a moment, and he began to passively defend his sponsor.
"But you don't even have a company anymore," Karr said.
"Huh?" was the look on Black's face. He hadn't caught up on today's news yet, and it threw a bit of an uncomfortable wrench into to the conversation. Black is still patched up -- and he's not alone in that -- but it's about 50/50 right now in the room. We see Black, David Benyamine, Scott Clements, James Dempsey, and Peter Feldman patched up, while Claudio Rinaldi, Erica Schoenberg, John Dolan, and John Racener are not.
It's also noteworthy to see that the entire roster of Team PokerStars Pros is proudly patched up with both their site's and their country's decal.
