Staszko Gets One Back

Livello 34 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

Phil Collins raised the button to 725,000, and Martin Staszko called again, out of position in the big blind. Staszko check-called a bet of 900,000 on the {4-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {J-Diamonds} flop, and they checked it down after the {J-Clubs} and {5-Hearts} filled out the board.

Staszko had {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs}, and second pair was the best hand, squaring him with Collins over the course of that two-hand battle.

Benbaments

John Hewitt opened to 650,000 from under the gun, and Ben Lamb immediately three-bet to 1.5 million on his direct left. Hewitt mucked, and Lamb raked in another pot.

This. Is. Benba.

From the cutoff seat, Ben Lamb raised to 675,000. Matt Giannetti called out of the big blind and the flop came down {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Giannetti checked and Lamb fired 700,000. Giannetti called and the turn was the {7-Diamonds}.

On fourth street, both players checked to see the {2-Hearts} pair the board on the river. Giannetti checked and Lamb fired a big four million in to the pot of 3.14 million. Giannetti then tanked for several long minutes. Giannetti looked pained as he tanked and tanked. He cut out the chips from his stack to make the call and then tanked even longer. Finally, he stuck the chips in.

Lamb turned over the {3-Clubs}{2-Spades} for trip deuces and Giannetti mucked his hand.

Collins Firing Bullets

Livello 34 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante
Phil Collins
Phil Collins

Phil Collins opened to 725,000 two out of three of the last hands. The first one got through, but Martin Staszko gave him action the second time, calling to see a heads-up flop.

It came {K-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {8-Clubs}, and Collins continued out with 900,000. Staszko called, but he faced a more sizable bet after the {K-Hearts} turn paired the board. This time, Staszko surrendered, and it's an increase of 2.315 million chips to Collins stack.

Staszko is below the chip average, but it looks like's he's still up from our last chip update. We eyeball him at around 14 million from our perch, and he's dragging a small pot for himself as we type.

Khoa Gets it In There

Livello 34 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

In middle position, Bryan Devonshire raised to 650,000, and Khoa Nguyen three-bet shoved for a little over 4 million. The table folded around in turn, including Devonshire, and that's a few more fightin' chips for the Calgary native.

Welcome, Anton

Livello 34 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante

In order to balance the tables with six players each, Anton Makievskyi has made the trip over to the secondary feature table, carrying his 26 million chips with him. He's taking Seat 5 -- just to the left of Phil Collins and to the right of Martin Staszko sitting across the table in Seat 9.

Konstantinos Mamaliadis Eliminated in 13th Place ($478,174)

Livello 34 : 150,000/300,000, 40,000 ante
Konstantinos Mamaliadis - 13th Place
Konstantinos Mamaliadis - 13th Place

Eoghan O'Dea opened to 625,000 from the hijack only to have Konstantinos Mamaliadis move all in for around 4 million from the button. O'Dea made the call and was out in front.

Showdown
O'Dea: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Mamaliadis: {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Sevens were out in front and stayed there on the {5-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop, while the {6-Clubs} turn left Mamaliadis in need of a seven. Unfortunately for him, the {8-Clubs} hit the river. It did give Mamaliadis a pair of eights, but it also delivered a straight to O'Dea.

Mamaliadis was eliminated in 13th place and will take home $478,174 for his performance. With that, O'Dea has extended his chip lead to around 33 million.
