Idema's Got Chip Fever!

Livello 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Daniel Idema came into Day 2 of this event with less than 15,000 in chips, but he's now holding more than four times that much and has taken even more change off Leo Torosyan.

The action folded around to Torosyan who raised to 78,000 befor the flop; Idema was the only caller in the big blind and so it was heads-up to a flop of {8-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Torosyan checked-called Idema after the flop and on the turn of the {7-Clubs}, then checked again when the {A-Diamonds} appeared on the river.

Idema fired again, but this time Torosyan leaned back in his chair and heaved a sigh of relief before tapping the table and throwing his hand away. Torosyan has now slipped to 23,000 in chips, while Idema is cruising along with 78,000!

Sketchy Hand for Stencil

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

In one of the first hands after the break, Steve Stencil came out second best against Arkadiy Tsinis over on table 367.

Tsinis raised from UTG +1 preflop and the action folded around to Stencil who called from the big blind, before check-calling Tsinis on both the flop of {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and the turn of the {5-Diamonds}.

Both players then checked the river {9-Hearts} before Tsinis showed down {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}; that was enough for Stencil to kick his hand into the muck.

Tsinis is up to 42,000, but Stencil is still sitting comfortably with 43,000. The same can't be said for Dustin Graves, whose PokerNews Tournament ID tracking card has just come across our desk here in media row. That's never a good sign.

Rush for Arash

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Arash Yazdanpanah (let's just call him "Yaz" for short) has soared up the chip counts, moving to second overall behind Sean Nguyen after taking down a big pot over on table 359.

The action folded around to Yaz who raised from the button before Cyriel Dohman called from the small blind, as did Barry Shulman from the big blind, to make it three-handed to a flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{A-Clubs}.

Dohman and Shulman checked their option, but Yaz fired out another bet. Dohman was the only caller, but he then check-folded after Yaz opened the betting again on the turn of the {4-Hearts}.

Dohman is now running on fumes with just 7,000 in chips, while Shulman still has a little wiggle room with just over 30,000. However, Yaz is clearly the table captain with more than 94,000 in his stack!

Fong Doubles Up

Livello 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Michael Fong doubled up with {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} against Ron Freitag.

Freitage opened up the betting pre flop with a raise and was reraised by Fong. Freitage called and the flop came up {6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Fong bet, Freitag called and the turn came the {a-Clubs}. Fong bet all in for his last 300 chips when Freitage called and mucked his hand into the pile. The floor was called and the ruling was that in an all in situation both cards must be turned up.

Freitage's cards were retrieved from the muck and he showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The river brought an insignificant {k-Spades}.

Fong sits with around 35,000 chips.
