Livello 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jason Acosta
Jason Acosta

Jason Acosta raised to 110,000 and Valentino Konakchiev called in the cutoff. Ankit Ahuja then jammed on the button to apply maximum pressure on the shorter stacks behind. It folded back to Acosta and he called it off for around 1,000,000 while Konakchiev folded.

Jason Acosta: 99
Ankit Ahuja: AQ

The flip went to Ahuja this time thanks to a board of 104352 as he hit the straight and flush on the river, eliminating Acosta in 25th place for $14,330.

John Reading Eliminated in 26th Place ($14,330)

Livello 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
John Reading
John Reading

John Reading had an uphill battle when the field redrew for the final three tables. He had less than 200,000, with blinds at 25,000-50,000 and a 50,000.

He picked a spot to dig in his heels after Jason Acosta raised 125,000 in early position, prompting Reading to go all in with 185,000. The action folded to Ankit Ahuja, who called in the big blind, and Acosta followed suit.

The dealer fanned 4J8, which Acosta and Ahuja checked. The river brought 2, which Acosta checked but Ahuja bet. Acosta folded and the cards were tabled.

Ahuja: Jx10x
Reading: A9

The river was a blank, which sent Reading to the rail.

Short Stack Double for Reading

Livello 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Stephen Sakai had extended his lead in a large pot that was checked on the Q95JA river when his AK for the top pair and top kicker was good enough to beat Valentino Konakchiev.

Soon after that, Jason Acosta jammed into John Reading in a blind battle with the latter at risk for just 80,000.

John Reading: A5
Jason Acosta: K9

Neither player connected with the Q8642 board and Reading kept his hopes of an even deeper run alive.

Song Felted by Farrell

Livello 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Niall Farrell had chipped up previously and then faced the open jam by Stephen Song in the small blind. "I am pretty sure I gonna call, not sure I can fold this ..." Farrell mentioned in table chat and asked for a count. The all-in was for 720,000 and Farrell eventually called.

Stephen Song: AJ
Niall Farrell: K9

The KK10105 board gave Farrell a full house and he claimed the entire stack of Song, declaring himself a luckbox of sorts.

There will now be a very short break for the final 27 players as they move to their new seat assignments for the redraw of the last three tables.

Reard Eliminates Jaffee

Livello 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

In a battle of WSOP bracelet winners, it was Alexandre Reard who emerged victorious over Jared Jaffee.

The two players got their chips in on a board showing 84J.

Jaffee: K5
Reard: J10

While he faced Reard’s top pair, Jaffee had outs with any king or club for the better hand. But the dealer placed 4 on the turn and the river card produced a blank, giving Reard the win and the knockout.
