Foxen Takes From Sturm With Rivered Trips

Alex Foxen opened to 330,000 in the cutoff with A♣J♦ and Leon Sturm called in the big blind with K♣10♠.

Sturm checked on the flop of 10♣3♣9♦ and Foxen bet 270,000. Sturm called. Sturm checked again on the J♣ turn and Foxen checked back.

Sturm checked once more on the J♠ river and Foxen bet 1,500,000 with less than that in the pot. Sturm called and mucked in defeat as Foxen showed the rivered trips.

Arends Rivers the Nuts to Double Through Foxen

Jans Arends raised to 400,000 in the cutoff and Alex Foxen defended from the big blind. The flop came A♦10♥7♣ and Foxen checked to Arends who bet 350,000. Foxen check-raised to 1,150,000 and Arends just called.

The turn brought the 9♥ and Foxen slid out a bet of 1,400,000. Arends still called and the K♦ peeled off on the river. Foxen went into the tank for over a minute before shoving all in. Arends looked back at his cards before calling off his last 5,470,000 chips.

Foxen turned over 8♥6♣ for a straight but Arends rivered the best straight with Q♣J♦. Foxen was forced to send over a double-up and Arends took over the chip lead.

Klein checked on the flop of 6♣7♣A♥ and Arends continued for 500,000. Klein called. Klein checked again on the J♥ turn and Arends checked back.

The 3♦ river completed the board and Klein opted to bluff with his missed straight draw by leading out for 1,250,000. Arends folded and Klein showed down nine-high like a boss.

Foxen led out with a bet of 400,000 on the turn and Klein just called after making Broadway. The river was the A♠ and Foxen announced a bet of 800,000. Klein just called and the cards were tabled, resulting in the pot being pushed toward Klein.

Sturm Dobules Through Arends

The action folded around to Jans Arends in the small blind who ripped all in as the big stack at the table. Leon Sturm woke up with the goods in the big blind and instantly called off his stack of 4,400,000.

Foxen check-raised to 925,000 but Klein responded with a reraise to 2,300,000. Foxen was forced to dump his cards to the muck and Klein raked in another pot.
