Klein Continues to Make Himself a Factor

Bill Klein limped in from the small blind with 10♦9♠ and Jan Arends checked his option holding K♠8♠. The flop came K♦J♦4♣ and Klein check-called a bet of 250,000 from Arends.

The turn was the Q♣ which gave Klein a straight and he checked again. Arends fired out another bet of 625,000 with top pair and Klein called. The J♣ landed on the river and Klein led out with a bet of 1,350,000 this time. Arends gave it some thought but opted to lay his hand down.

Arends Gets Looked Up on the River

Jans Arends limped in from the small blind with A♣2♣ and Leon Sturm checked his big blind with 6♥3♦. The flop came 10♣7♦4♦ and Arends checked to Sturm who bet 300,000. Arends called and the 8♦ landed on the turn.

Both players checked this time and the 9♦ rolled off on the river. Arends sized up a large bet of 2,000,000 and Sturm went into the tank for a minute before making the call. Arends showed the bluff while Sturm collected a sizeable pot with a baby flush.

Klein Bluffs His Way to the Lead

Bill Klein limped in from the small blind with 4♣4♦ and Jans Arends raised to 900,000 in the big blind with 8♠8♦. Klein called and they went heads-up to a flop of 9♥6♣2♦.

Klein checked to Arends who continued with a bet of 700,000. Klein check-raised to 2,200,000 with the smaller of the two pocket pairs and Arens still called.

The turn was the 6♥ and Klein led out with a bet of 1,600,000. Arends still called and the 5♦ completed the board. Klein ripped all in on the river, putting Arends to the test for his last 4,850,000 chips.

Arends went into the tank, using up all of his time banks, before ultimately deciding to send his cards to the muck. Klein showed the bluff as he raked in the pot and became the new chip leader.

"I misread it," Klein said with a chuckle.

Klein Exposure Ends in Chop

"I don't think I can fold this, Bill," Arends said as Klein prematurely flipped over his hand.

"It is what it is. I turned it over by mistake," said Klein.

"Bill, the good news is I have the same hand," Arends said before calling.

The board ran out 7♥6♦8♠J♣4♠ and the two chopped up the pot.
