Owais Gone

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Owais Ahmed moved all in for around 40,000 on the button and was called by Andres Korn in the big blind.

Owais Ahmed: KQ
Andres Korn: AQ

Ahmed was dominated and in rough shape. The 246 flop brought no help with the 2 turn leaving him needing to find a king on the river to survive. It did not happen as the J completed the board to bring Ahmed's tournament to an end.

Kruse Fades a Monster

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Andrew Barfield raised from the cutoff, then called when big blind Max Kruse reraised.

"I'm ahead," Kruse said as he took one and bet. Barfield drew two and called.

Both players stood pat and checked the second draw, then patted again. Kruse now led out with a bet and Barfield called.

Kruse turned over a 8-6-5-4-2 and Barfield flashed a 7-5-3-2 before mucking. "I should've broken it," Barfield lamented. Barfield went rabbit hunting and found he would've made No. 1 if he had drawn on the second draw.

"You have my luck," Tamon Nakamura told Kruse.

Liberto Outraces Bohlman

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Justin Liberto opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Ryutaro Suzuki on the button. Scott Bohlman then jammed out of the big blind with Liberto re-jamming with the sightly larger stack. That level of action was enough to convince Suzuki to get out of the way to setup the all in showdown.

Scott Bohlman: 66
Justin Liberto: AK

It was a near even race, that is until the flop came A510 to push Liberto into a sizable lead. Nothing changed on the 8 turn or 3 river, sending Bohlman to the payout desk.

Clements Catches a King, Gupta Gets His Wish

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Ash Gupta stood pat on the first draw and bet as Scott Clements, who drew three, called.

Gupta again stood pat and bet and Clements, who took two this time, called. "Absolutely hideous," Gupta said heading to the final draw, where he patted once more.

Clements took one. "Any kings left in the deck, dealer," Gupta asked as Clements checked and he checked behind. Gupta turned over a 9-7 and Clements did, indeed, catch a king as Gupta won the pot.

"You have a pair of nines," tablemate Owais Ahmed joked.

"I shouldn't have been drinking," Gupta replied with a laugh.

Zyrin Makes Broadway

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Roman Hrabec opened to 18,000 from under the gun and was called by Anatolii Zyrin in the big blind.

Zyrin checked following the QA6 flop and then called after Hrabec continued for 30,000.

The J turn saw Zyrin check for a second time before again calling after Hrabec fired off a bet of 125,000.

After the 4 river completed the board, Zyrin checked one last time before snap-calling a shove from Hrabec, who tabled 44 for the rivered set. That river turned out to be Hrabec's downfall, however, as Zyrin held K10 for the turned straight to send his opponent out in brutal fashion.

Gupta Catches Bad as Korn Doubles

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Ash Gupta took two on the second draw, while Andres Korn drew one and moved all in. Gupta called and took two more, while Korn stood pat and showed a Qx7x5x4x3x.

Gupta finished up with 6x5x4x2x2x, pairing his deuce on the last draw. "I had a better hand than that at the start," Gupta said about Korn's holding as he mucked and handed over the double up.

Hunter McClelland: 75

Suzuki Finds a Call

Livello 19 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Ryutaro Suzuki opened to 20,000 from early position and was called by Nai Hu in the big blind.

Hu checked on a flop of 104J and then raised to 43,000 after Suzuki continued for 18,000. Suzuki gave it some thought but did make the call.

The turn came 3 and, with little hesitation, Hu moved all in for 211,000, sending Suzuki into the tank. After a while, he did end up making the call with the covering stack to put his opponent at risk.

Nai Hu: K9
Ryutaro Suzuki: Q10

Suzuki was ahead with his pair but would need to fade a significant number of outs. He was able to do so after the river was a blank to score a large pot along with the knockout.
