Event #38: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Championship
Giorno 1 completo
Day 1 of Event #38: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Championship of the 2023 World Series of Poker has concluded here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with Michael Wagner leading the pack after accumulating 284,000 in chips. Hot on his tail is five-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Adam Friedman, who bagged up 279,000. Rounding out the top three is three-time bracelet winner Ryan Leng (273,000).
Wagner has WSOP cashes dating back to 2016 and has had a couple of close calls in making a WSOP final table, including a 12th-place finish back in 2018 in a $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball event. Wagner will enter Day 2 best positioned to make a deep run and pursue his first WSOP bracelet.
Other notables who survived into Day 2 include Oscar Johansson (258,000), Mike Matusow (122,000), Rep Porter (188,000), Alex Livingston (124,000), Daniel Strelitz (122,000), and Daniel Negreanu (140,000), who joined late in the day but was able to more than double his starting stack by the end.

Day 1 drew a total of 106 players, but with late registration remaining open until the start of Day 2, we expect that number to go up a good bit. From the Day 1 entries, only 45 managed to navigate the opening session.
Among the less fortunate were Kane Kalas Mike Gorodinsky, Shaun Deeb, Max Hoffman, and Cary Katz, who was eliminated late in the day by Maxx Coleman.
Defending champion Brian Hastings was not in the field today, however, he has been present at other WSOP events this year and still has the opportunity to join tomorrow should he decide.
Day 2 will begin June 16 at 1:00 p.m. local time for seven additional 90-minute levels. Play will begin on Level 11, which features 2,000/4,000 blinds with 4,000/8,000 limits. Players will get 10-minute breaks at the end of each level and a 60-minute dinner break at the conclusion of level 14 (~7:30 p.m.)
