Break Time

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The remaining players are on their final 20-mintue break.

They will return to play Level 11, which will have 1,000/2,500 blinds and a 2,500 ante before concluding play for the night.

Pagels' Makes Right Read, Stacks Opponent

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Matt Pagels was in early position and got tangled up with an opponent in late position preflop, which saw a little more than 20,000 in the pot.

The dealer fanned 2102, and Pagels bet 8,000, which his opponent called.

The turn saw K and some fireworks. Pagels led out with 12,000, putting his opponent in the tank. After close to a full minute, Pagels watched as the other player moved all in for 54,500.

Pagel, who easily covered his opponent, didn’t immediately make the call. Instead, he looked at the board, and then his opponent. He eventually called to put his opponent at risk.

“Do you have a king?” Pagels asked as he tabled J10.

The other player didn’t have top pair, rather a gut-shot straight draw when he tabled AQ. The straight, though, didn’t come as blanks appeared on the turn and river to give Pagels the hand, which sent his opponent to the rail.

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded to the small blind who limped. Serhii Popovych in the big blind bet 8,000.

The small blind responded with a raise to 26,000 which prompted Popovych to grab a handful of 25,000 chips and announced all in. The small blind quickly surrendered and Popovych increased their sizable stack.

Palma Gets One Through

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A player in early position bet 4,000 and received a call from Joe Palma in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

The flop came A2A. The blinds checked, the early position player bet 3,500 and both opponents called. Action was then checked through on the 7 turn.

Palma took the initiative on the river with a 15,000 bet which folded the player in the big blind and sent the early position player deep into the tank. As he thought through his decision he mentioned that he had an ace for trips but was worried about his kicker. Eventually he folded Ax6x face up and asked Palma to show the bluff.

Palma obliged, showing KQ for a missed flush draw and took down a nice pot.

Kelly Hits Runner-Runner to Devastate Opponent

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Greg Kelly, who told PokerNews he prefers to be called “Rabbit,” raised 4,000 in early position, and then saw the player in the small blind three-bet to 11,000. The action returned to Kelly, who called.

The dealer fanned 1034 on the board, and both players checked. The turn saw 9, and the player in the big blind checked.

“OK, I’ll check,” Kelly said.

The river showed Q and his opponent led out with 16,000. Kelly took a moment to count out his remaining stack, and then moved all in for his remaining 58,250. His opponent had Kelly covered and quickly called, and then was stunned to see Kelly, who tabled KJ, was on the receiving end of a runner-runner nut straight.

“I had a set,” the player said as the pot was pushed to Kelly.

Kelly scored a double up and his opponent was left with just 13,500.

Arnett Moreno Put to the Test With Queens

Livello 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was picked up on the flop with players heads up and about 53,500 in the middle and the board reading 2J6. A player in middle position 11,000 and Kristy Arnett Moreno called from the hijack.

The turn was the 7. The player in middle position, who was opening the action, tanked for at least 90 seconds before betting 40,000. Arnett Moreno quickly called.

The river brought the 4. The player in middle position considered his options for about 45 seconds before checking. Arnett Moreno quickly checked back.

Moreno had QQ for an overpair which was enough to beat her opponent's KJ for top pair to take down a pot worth about 150,000, the largest pot played at that table so far according to another player.

Michael’s ‘Big Slick’ Secures Pot

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Robert Michael raised 3,000 in early position, and then watched as the player to his immediate left called followed by the players in the blinds to go four to the flop.

The dealer placed 6K9 on the board, and the players in the blinds checked. Michael led out with 10,500, which the player to his left called. The players in the blinds then folded.

The 3 appeared on the turn, which Michael and his opponent checked. The 2 showed up on the river, and Michael led out with 19,000. His opponent took a few moments, and then called.

Michael tabled AK for top pair, top kicker, prompting his opponent to slide his hand in the muck.

With 22,000 in the middle on a flop of J107 the button bet 8,000 and was called by Zachary Fischer in the hijack.

Both players checked the J turn, but Fischer bet 25,000 on the A river. The button went deep into the tank and took nearly two minutes to find a call. Fischer tabled KQ for Broadway to the disgust of the button who mucked AK.
