On a recent The Chad & Jesse Poker Show straight from the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP), the two hosts were joined by a poker legend!
This week, they are joined by Poker Hall of Famer Jack McClelland, who served as the Tournament Director of the WSOP from 1984-98. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2014 alongside Daniel Negreanu, and he talks about that honor as well as memories of Stu Ungar and Doyle Brunson, and what it was like to work for the legendary Benny Binion.

Christian Cheng faced a tough decision after the big stack at his table moved all in from an early position.
Cheng had exactly 55,000 and was clearly pained, alternating multiple looks at his cards and his opponent. He grimaced with each passing second and took a little more than a minute before eventually calling. As the other players folded, the cards were tabled, and it was a race.
Christian Cheng: A♥Q♠
Opponent: 10♥10♦
The dealer fanned K♥K♠J♣ on the flop, leaving Cheng behind. The turn produced Q♥ to give Cheng the lead, but he wasn’t out of danger as any ace or nine would give his opponent a straight. Cheng also had to dodge one of the two remaining 10s, which would give his opponent a full house.
Cheng, though, was paid off for his willingness to go deep in the tank after 8♥ appeared on the river to give Cheng a much-needed double up. He appeared relieved and sank in his chair, while the dealer pushed the pot his way.

Big Blind: 10♣10♠
Button: A♦K♦
Jacob Phillips: K♣K♠
A dream spot for Phillips who dominated both opponents with their pocket kings. The board of Q♥8♠5♥5♦6♥ was clean and Phillips took in a chunky pot.

Freddy Heller bet 5,000 from under the gun and was raised by Kristy Arnett Moreno in the hijack to 16,000 which was called by Heller.
Arnett Moreno down-bet to 10,000 on the J♦8♥6♣ flop which was called by Heller. Both players checked the J♣ turn.
The river brought the K♦ and Heller led out for 43,000. Arnett Moreno opted to fold and Heller added to their stack.
