Nick Kost Eliminated in 3rd Place ($54,247)

Nick Kost

2-7 Razz

Nick Kost: XxXx / 5x8x7xQx / Xx
Andrew Kelsall: 7x4x2x / 10x6x5x3x

Andrew Kelsall selected 2-7 Razz as next game type, mentioning he "would have selected Badeucey but Chad is the best in the world and I am only 202nd" with a grin on the face.

He then tangled with fellow short stack Nick Kost who bet the superior board on fourth and fifth street. Kelsall took the lead on sixth and bet, Kost called and had just 140,000 behind with a big bet of 240,000 by then.

Kelsall also bet seventh and Kost sigh-called it off with an eight-seven. Kelsall announced a wheel and tabled it to see Kost depart in silence, finishing in third place for $54,247.

Both players are now on a brief break with around 17 minutes left prior to a scheduled dinner break.

Kost "F**** Up Hand" to Get Shorter Again

Livello 31

No-Limit Hold'em

Chad Eveslage raised the button and was called by Nick Kost in the big blind. The A63 flop was checked by Kost, who then called a bet worth 100,000 by Eveslage. Both checked the 5 turn and Kost bet the A river for 275,000.

Eveslage called rather swiftly and Kost instantly murmured "I fucked this hand up" as he rolled over the 97 for a busted gutshot and flush draw. Eveslage won the pot with the 75 and his opponent dropped below a million in chips.

Kelsall and Kost Cut Down Eveslage

Livello 31

Omaha 8 or Better

Back-to-back hands have seen Andrew Kelsall and Nick Kost each take significant chunks out of Chad Eveslage's stack.

First, after three bets each went in preflop along with bets on the flop and turn, the players checked the end with a completed board of 10388Q.

Eveslage showed 109XxXx declaring "tens", to which Kelsall replied "no good" and showed AA107 for aces and eights to take a sizeable pot.

Following that, Nick Kost limped his small blind, then called a raise from Eveslage in the big blind to see a flop of 9JQ.

Kost check-called a bet on the flop, and then check-raised Eveslage on the 7 turn. Eveslage mucked and sent a pot to his other opponent.

Eveslage Continues to Dominate

Livello 31

Big O

Chad Eveslage raised the button to 210,000 and Andrew Kelsall repotted to 690,000 with 595,000 behind. Eveslage tanked and Kelsall joked "don't beat me with a crap hand like four, five, eight, jack, king".

"I would already be in it with that," Eveslage joked back and folded to get shown the AA10104 by Kelsall.

Kelsall raised the next button to 130,000 and Eveslage defended the big blind. On a flop of J109, Eveslage bet 75,000 and Kelsall folded, exposing a seven-high combo.

Razz brought no action and Nick Kost then selected Omaha 8 or better.

Kost raised the button and called a three-bet by Eveslage in the small blind. Eveslage bet the KJ10 flop for Kost to call and bet again the 6 turn, forcing out Kost.

John Racener Eliminated in 4th Place ($36,953)

Big O

Chad Eveslage raised to 180,000 in the small blind and got a call from John Racener in the big blind.

On the 5J8 flop, Eveslage bet pot, Racener moved all in for just under a million and Eveslage called to put Racener at risk.

John Racener: A9974
Chad Eveslage: K6552

Racener had the nut flush draw and a double-gutshot working for him, while Eveslage had a set of fives.

The board ran out KQ, keeping Eveslage's set ahead while bringing neither player a low to send Racener to the payout desk in fourth place.

Eveslage Running Away With the Lead

Livello 31

Razz

Nick Kost: XxXx / 2x4xQx
Chad Eveslage: XxXx / 6x7x6x folded on fifth street

Nick Kost bet a favourable board on fourth and fifth, after which Chad Eveslage folded when he paired up the six.

Nick Kost: XxXx / 7xJxJx7x folded on sixth street
Chad Eveslage: XxXx / 6x10xKx5x
John Racener: XxXx / 8xAx8x folded on fifth street

The revenge of the run-away chip leader came shortly after when his king-ten high on fifth had the lead against two pairs. Eveslage bet and John Racener tanked, then folded while showing a lot of frustration. Kost stuck around and snap-folded sixth street when he paired up a second time.

Big O

Eveslage then raised to 175,000 on the button and Andrew Kelsall, now second in chips, defended the big blind. They checked to the K645 turn after which Kelsall checked again. Eveslage bet the pot for 440,000 and won it without resistance.

Big O

John Racener raised to 120,000 in the cutoff and was met with a three-bet for pot to 550,000 from Andrew Kelsall, who had 400,000 left behind.

Racener made the call and the dealer spread a flop of A32. Racener checked and Kelsall moved that 400,000 in and asked the dealer for the 'all-in' button.

Racener thought briefly then opted to make the call.

Andrew Kelsall: AAK64
John Racener: A10973

Racener was in rough shape against Kelsall's trip aces and six-four low. The dealer completed the board with the 3 and 2, giving Kelsall the scoop with a full house and six-four low.

Two in a Row for Racener

Livello 30

Badeucey

In a battle of the blinds in the last hand of Badeucey, both discarded two on the first draw and Chad Eveslage check-called a bet by John Racener. They discarded two again and Racener bet when checked to, sending Eveslage in a very rare tank. "The best in the world needs time?" Racener joked, Eveslage grinned back and called a minute later.

Eveslage discarded another two on the final draw while Racener took one. Eveslage check-called but couldn't beat the 7 / 9432 of Racener.

Big O

The final hand of the level brought Big O with Nick Kost as initial raiser, picking up calls from Racener and Andrew Kelsall in the blinds. They checked the Q65 flop and Racener bet the 9 turn for 175,000. Only Kelsall called and the Q river was checked.

Racener revealed the AJ1092 for queens and deuces to win the pot, with Kelsall sighing visibly.
