Garza Takes From Pearson

Livello 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Lou Garza limped in from the hijack with JJ108. Travis Pearson joined him from the small blind with AQ83, and Peng Shan checked his option with KK62.

The flop came 1010A, giving Garza trips. Action was checked all around. The 9 turn induced two more checks, but Garza led out for 500,000. Pearson made the call, with Shan getting out of the way.

The river came 5, and Pearson checked once more. Garza put 750,000 in front of him, and Pearson chose to match it. Garza turned over his hand, and Pearson quickly mucked.

The Shorter Stacks Are Drawing Closer

Livello 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Stanislav Halatenko opened the action with a raise to 600,000 with the Q875 and Travis Pearson called on the button with the AK109. The QJ9 flop gave Pearson the nut straight with the nut flush draw and Halatenko checked, triggering a bet worth 800,000 by Pearson and a snap-fold from his opponent.

Peng Shan then raised it up to 600,000 on the button with the 10998 for Halatenko to defend the AJ74. The flop came QQ10 and both players checked to the J turn. Halatenko checked again and Shan bet 450,000 with the bottom end of the straight.

Halatenko folded and lost another small pot.

No Thin River Value For Morris Against Halatenko

Livello 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Arthur Morris faced a raise to 750,000 by Stanislav Halatenko in a battle of the blinds and called with AK82. That made a full house on the 882 flop while Halatenko's J1065 had complete air. Both checked to the 9 turn on which Halatenko bet 1,000,000 and Morris called.

The J fell on the river and Halatenko checked, then folded when Morris bet 375,000 into 3,750,000.

Stanislav Halatenko raised to 700,000 out of the small blind with the 8764 and picked up a call by Arthur Morris in the big blind with the AJ65. They headed to the AQ9 flop on which Halatenko bet 600,000 and Morris called.

Shan wandered back to his rail and Pearson shook his head on the Q106 flop as Shan had picked up 19 outs to avoid elimination. Nothing changed on the 3 turn but the 8 river improved him to the queen-high straight. Shan didn't realise it at first before he burst out in celebration.

Right after the hand, the five remaining players went on their first scheduled 15-minute break.
