Event #58: $3,000 Limit Hold'em (6-Handed)
Giorno 2 completo
Day 2 of Event #58: $3,000 Limit Hold'em of the 2023 World Series of Poker brought back 115 hopefuls from the 263 total entrants, meaning approximately 44 percent of the field remained. It was a long battle at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas before the players got into the money.
Plenty of notables fell before reaching that pinnacle, including the likes of Michael Mizrachi, Benny Glaser, and Adam Friedman.
Those in the final 40 were playing for a slice of the $702,210 prize pool, with a $165,250 first-place prize. There was a bit of a debacle that occurred on the stone-cold bubble, but ultimately it was Kevin Kerber who was dealt a bad beat to burst it.

Of the players who did complete the full ten levels of play on Day 2, Jason Daly (1,119,000), Daniel Maczuga (1,100,000), and Nick Pupillo (1,040,000) were neck-and-neck in the millionaire’s club vying for the chip lead.
Notables Dan Shak (325,000) and Joe McKeehen (150,000) also found a bag going into the final day. Daly played a series of hands against McKeehen that pushed him into the chip lead. Shak had a bit of a heater toward the end of the night to put him back in contention.
There were also plenty of fan favorites in attendance on Day 2. Several made deep runs but came short of bagging up when the curtain came down on proceedings. They included the likes of the stylish, old-school legend JJ Liu, and Women in Poker Hall of Fame inductee and tournament crusher Maria Ho, who put up a battling performance, going from a short stack and back multiple times throughout the day.
Only 17 players remain, and they return at 1 p.m. local time Tuesday, June 27, to play down to a winner.
Stay tuned to PokerNews to catch all the exciting action at this year's WSOP.

Four players headed to a flop and Clayton Mozdzen was all in for his last 30,000 chips. The flop came 9♥8♠6♠ and Tom Koral tossed in a bet from the cutoff. Mavrick Yoo called on the button which created a side pot.
The turn was the 4♦ and both players checked to the 7♥ on the river. Koral checked again and Yoo fired out a bet. Koral folded and Yoo turned over J♠10♠ for the nut straight to send Mozdzen to the rail.

With 15 minutes left of play for the evening and directly on the bubble of the final three tables, the bloody mary's and beers are flowing as players seek liquid nourishment and congratulate each other on a long day's work.
Yingui Li raised it up on the button and Nick Pupillo just called from the big blind. The flop came 8♠7♠3♠ and Pupillo check-called a bet from Li. The turn brought the 2♥ and Pupillo checked again. Li splashed in his last 40,000 chips and Pupillo quickly called.
Yingui Li: A♣J♥
Nick Pupillo: Q♠J♠
Pupillo flopped a flush and Li was already drawing dead to the Q♦ on the river. The players are just one elimination away from a redraw or the final hands will be called in roughly five minutes.

Kuenwai Lo raised it up from the cutoff and Alex Torry reraised from the small blind. Lo called and the flop of A♠K♣4♥ was spread across the felt. Torry led out with a bet and Lo opted to just call.
The turn was the 7♥ and Torry slowed down with a check. Lo fired out a bet and Torry called to see the A♦ on the river. Torry checked again and Lo put out another bet. Torry quickly called and Lo flipped over A♥9♣ for the best hand.

Michael Kuo got the last of his chips into the middle while heads up against Daniel Maczuga on a board that read K♣4♥J♠.
Michael Kuo: J♣J♦
Daniel Maczuga: A♦K♠
Albeit a boon for Kuo, as the 10♠ and 3♦ rolled off, securing him a double up with his set of jacks, it seemed written on his face he wished he had more chips for this particular altercation.
Just a few hands later, Kuo lost a confrontation when he folded to Shak's second barrel on a board that read 3♦5♠3♠6♥.
