Guagenti Doubles Through Campbell

Livello 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 18,000 ante

Alexander Kell opened to 27,000 from early position only to see Robert Campbell three-bet to 81,000 on the button. Nick Guagenti then jammed all in out of the big blind, getting a fold from Kell. Campbell thought long and hard about his decision but ultimately found a call to put Guagenti at risk.

Guagenti stood pat while Campbell took one, showing 9x6x5x2x. He was unable to improve however, bested by Guagenti's 10x7x6x5x3x to hand the at-risk player a full double while taking a significant hit to his own stack.

Neto Sends Bechahed Packing

Livello 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 18,000 ante

Joao Dorneles Neto opened to 25,000 from under the gun before Sami Bechahed moved all in on the button. The blinds got out of the way to send the action back to Neto who quickly called to put his opponent at risk.

Neto stood pat while Bechahed opted to take one after which Neto tabled 10x7x6x3x2x. Bechahed held 8x6x4x3x but could not best Neto's ten-seven after catching the Kx to bring his tournament to an end.

Hellmuth Eliminated as He Goes to War with Ruben and Ashby

From early position Phil Hellmuth raised 40,000, leaving just 13,000 behind. It folded around to Brad Ruben in the big blind, who reraised to put Hellmuth all in.

Hellmuth called, and each drew one. Hellmuth declared jack-six, and Ruben was disappointed to find he'd paired threes.

On the next hand Hellmuth raised 27,000 from under the gun, and then Ruben shoved all in from the small blind. "The script is written Phil. You're going to spin this up to 600,000," Hellmuth said, mostly to himself before folding.

"Did you have an eight draw?" asked the sixteen-time bracelet winner. Ruben acknowledged he had.

Unfortunately minutes later Richard Ashby tangled with Hellmuth. Hellmuth ended up all in and busted when Ashby made a nine-eight and Hellmuth paired sevens.

Schedule Adjustment

Livello 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 18,000 ante

Coming into the day, the plan had been to whittle the field down to five players. With a record breaking number of entries, however, that is no longer an option. Instead, the tournament director has just announced play will continue for two more levels until the end of Level 20 at which point the remaining players will bag for the night.
