After a long Day 2 on Event #65: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed of the 2023 World Series of Poker, 48 players will come back this Friday, June 30, for Day 3 in Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas. The restart was scheduled at noon, but the tournament staff and the players agreed to begin a bit later, at 1 p.m.
All the changes are due to another record-breaking number of entrants, with 1,199 entries compared to 920 last year. This field generated a prize pool of $5,046,200. All players are already in the money, assured of $16,261. But there will be a pay jump to $18,898 after the first elimination on Day 3. However, all 48 players are looking for the first-place prize of $938,244 and the WSOP gold bracelet.
For now, two Brazilian players are the closest for the bracelet, as they are both in the lead with more than 3,000,000 chips. Vitor Dzivielevski has the biggest stack for now with 3,425,000 chips. Pedro Garagnani is on his heels with 3,220,000.

Among all players left, one-third of the field is looking for another bracelet, such as Norbert Szecsi (2,345,000), Georgios Sotiropoulos (1,960,000), 2023 $50,000 Super High Roller winner Leon Sturm (1,690,000), Day 1 chip leader Yuliyan Kolev (1,540,000), Ryan Leng (1,425,000), Scott Seiver (615,000), and David "Bakes" Baker (400,000).
On the other hand, Omar Lakhdari (1,845,000), Nozomu Shimizu (1,440,000), Ren Lin (1,145,000), Fabrice Bigot (965,000), and Artur Martirosian (745,000) will try to win their first WSOP title.
First, they'll have to be one of the five players remaining; the five who'll come back on Day 4. To do so, they'll play as many 60-minute levels as needed, with the action resuming on Level 21 (blinds: 10,000/25,000 and a 25,000 big blind ante). There will also be 15-minute breaks every 2 levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 26.
