McKeehen Wins With The Best Two Pair

Livello 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Victor Ramdin and Joe McKeehen were heads-up on a 6KK flop. Ramdin was in the hijack and appeared to have check-raised a bet from McKeehen to 15,000. McKeehen called on the button.

Ramdin bet 20,000 on the 4 turn and the both players checked on the 8 river.

"Two pair," Ramdin said as he tabled 108. McKeehen showed AA for a better two pair and dragged the pot.

Martinez Takes From Foxen

Livello 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Raul Martinez opened to 2,200 from under the gun only to see Alex Foxen three-bet to 7,500 in middle position. Action folded back around to Martinez and he responded with a four bet to 22,500 which Foxen called.

Martinez continued for 16,000 following the K106 flop, receiving a call from Foxen.

Both players checked through the 10 turn to the K river. Martinez then announced all in which, after a count, was determined to be for 62,700. Foxen eyed up his opponent, thought for a little while and then folded to send a sizable pot to his opponent.

Cannuli Shows an Eight

Livello 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Bohlman raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Thomas Cannuli on the button.

Cannuli called a 2,500 bet from Bohlman on the 53K flop and a 10,000 bet from Bohlman on the 8 turn.

Bohlman slowed down and checked when the 10 completed the board and Cannuli bet 16,500 — sending Bohlman deep into the tank.

Bohlman eventually decided to let his hand go and Cannuli showed the 8 before collecting the pot.

Break Time

Livello 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Players have been sent on their third 15-minute break of the day. They will return to blinds of 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante.

As expected, the field has already surpassed last year's mark with a whopping 436 total entries recorded at the time of publishing.

Rossitto Lays One Down

Livello 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A player limped in the small blind before calling when Michael Rossitto raised to 3,200 in the big blind.

The small blind check-called a bet of 5,000 from Rossitto on the 10J5 flop to send the action to the turn.

The board pairing J turn saw the small blind take over the betting lead by reaching for what looked to be a bet of 7,000. Before he even completed the betting motion, however, Rossitto dumped his cards into the muck to take a minor hit to his stack.

Pham Makes a Full House

Livello 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Three ways on a 944J board, David Pham checked from the big blind and Bill Klein bet 3,500 from the hijack. The player on the button called and Pham then check-raised to 14,000. Only the button called.

Pham checked on the 6 river and his opponent quickly checked behind and showed KJ for jacks and fours. Pham turned over 64 for a full house and collected the pot.

Ausmus Makes Smart Check

Jeremy Ausmus

Picking up the action on the turn, Jeremy Ausmus in the cutoff was involved in a hand with a player in the big blind. With the board reading 92410 the big blind bet 3,500. Ausmus responded with a raise to 10,000 which his opponent called.

The big blind checked once the Q river completed the board and Ausmus, after thinking for a moment, checked back. It was a good check too as the big blind held Q10 for the rivered top two pair to take down the pot.

No Rest for the Wicked

Livello 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Bin Weng won the WPT $10,000 EveryOne For One Drop for a career best $2,227,054 just a couple of hours ago but instead of resting on his (considerable) laurels, has already hopped into this event in an effort to continue his hot streak.

Gregory Jensen opened to 2,000 from under the gun and was called by Weng in the big blind.

Weng checked on the 432 flop and then folded after Jensen continued for 3,000. Despite losing the hand, Weng has already managed to chip up significantly since taking his seat.
