This historic event is returning to Las Vegas for the first time in 12 years. The return of the NAPT marks the comeback of a major PokerStars stop in the United States after years of EPT success across the pond. The last time this event ran was in 2011 and Vanessa Selbst claimed her second NAPT Main Event title. Who will put their mark on the return and earn the bragging rights this time around?

Please note that before registering for any NAPT tournaments, you must obtain a Genting Rewards card. These cards are free of charge and can be obtained from the Resorts World Rewards Desk. It is mandatory to have this card before showing up for registration.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the latest updates from the NAPT Main Event and other tournaments taking place at this incredible festival!

Aido Doubles on Hand #1

The floor had just called for the cards to be in the air and action folded to the small blind who raised to 300. Sergio Aido was in the big blind and opted to put in a three-bet to 1,100. The small blind called.

The 635 flop hit the felt and without much thought the small blind led out for 1,500. Aido sat in the tank for a moment and then raised to 3,500. The small blind instantly announced "all in" and Aido went into the tank.

After almost a full minute he flicked in the chips and the cards hit their backs.

Small blind: Q2
Sergio Aido: 1010

The small blind begrudgingly said "You're good" when Aido called but he still had a few outs to cool off Aido. Luckily the 3 turn and 10 river would only improve Aido and he got a pure double and the knockout on the very first hand of play.

Stamm Getting After It Early

Livello 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

David Stamm opened under the gun to 300. There was a call on the button and from the small blind. The action was then on the big blind who sat in the tank for a moment before putting in a three-bet to 1,600. Stamm thought over his options, got a count from the big blind, and then put in a four-bet to the tune of 4,000.

The button and small blind got out of the way and the big blind put in the rest of the chips for a call.

The Q76 flop hit the felt and action checked to Stamm who continued the story for 4,400. Although the big blind thought it over, this bet was enough to get him to fold on the flop.

Stamm dragged the pot without showdown and set the tone early on in the day.

Frankenberger Sits Down, Doubles First Hand

Livello 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

On his very first hand of the tournament, Andy Frankenberger raised to 600 from under the gun only to see the player on the button opt to put in a three-bet to 2,500.

Frankenberger, not done putting chips into the middle, decided on a four-bet and tossed in 7,500 chips. The button didn't waste much time in jamming for just under 30,000 and getting snap-called by Frankenberger to set up a runout with the button at risk.

Button: AJ
Andy Frankenberger: AK

In what amounted to a 200 big blind pot, the board ran out 896810, keeping Frankenberger in the lead for a massive pot on his very first hand of play as his opponent is sent to an early exit.
