Sousa Makes the Correct Call

Livello 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Rui Sousa
Rui Sousa

One of the biggest pots of the day took place at Table 29 as Rui Sousa and Matthias Lipp collided.

The board read K68J6 and several million in chips were already in the middle before Lipp bet all in for around 2,100,000. Sousa went deep into the tank for several minutes before calling.

Lipp tabled Q7 for a stone bluff as Sousa showed KQ to win the pot with a pair of queens.

Negreanu Runs Into Aces

Livello 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu open-jammed a stack of around 300,000 from middle position and got action from the bigger-stacked Fabian Bernhauser in the small blind.

Daniel Negreanu: A4
Fabian Bernhauser: AA

Negreanu started laughing when he saw he was against aces and was drawing to only a chop after the 810J flop and K turn. "Queen!" Negreanu cheered.

A queen didn't come as the 5 bricked off to mark Negreanu's elimination.

Full House Jams Into Quads for the KO!

Livello 23 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Lewis Spencer
Lewis Spencer

The action folded all the way to Lewis Spencer in the small blind who opened to 85,000 and got a call from Goran Mandic in the big blind.

The 68A flop landed and Spencer continued for 50,000. Mandic called and the K rolled off on the turn.

Spencer sat in the tank for a moment and then put out another bet of 110,000. Mandic called again.

The A hit the river and after a moment of thought, Spencer moved all in. Mandic snap-called having Spencer covered by a few blinds.

Spencer tabled KK for a boat but Mandic tabled a perfectly slow-played AA for quads to send Spencer and his scarf to the payout line.

Seiji Doubles, Weinman Climbs

Livello 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Rodrigo Seiji was seen dragging a big pot for a double as Level 21 got underway. Seiji had risked his last 325,000 with A9 and the board showed 3925K. The dealer had already mucked his opponents cards.

Meanwhile, Daniel Weinman is at a nearby table with nearly double his Day 2 starting stack and Erick Lindgren was seen gathering his things to head for the door.

And in a development that surprises no one, Raminder Singh has a pile of chips.

Adams Ousts Cornell With Ace-High

Livello 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Action folded to Tyler Cornell who limped for 30,000 from the cutoff. Timothy Adams was in the small blind and decided to put in a raise to 85,000. Cornell called and both players headed to a 756 flop.

Adams reached for chips and led with a bet of 45,000. Cornell paused briefly before making the call and watching as the 3 hit the turn.

Adams took a moment to ponder his action and eventually came to the decision to jam, putting Cornell to a decision for his whole stack. Cornell checked his cards and didn't seem to love it but did put his chips in to place himself at risk with one card to come.

Tyler Cornell: J9
Timothy Adams: AQ

Neither player held a pair and Cornell was behind going to the river, but a lot of outs would help him stave off elimination. The dealer burned a card and put the 6 out on the river, offering no help to Cornell and sealing his fate as Adams collected the remainder of his chips.

West Spikes Two-Outer to Double

Livello 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Jonathan West was all in for 326,000 in the cutoff and at risk against Derek Whelan under the gun.

Jonathan West: JJ
Derek Whelan: QQ

West was pipped against the slightly superior premium pocket pair and the 1065 flop changed nothing.

The K turn left West needing a jack as he got up from his seat, but the J spiked the river and Whelan slammed the table at the sight of the unlikely result. West collected the double, while Whelan was left with only 5,000 and was eliminated shortly after.
