Alessio Isaia opened to 22,000 in the hijack seat and he finds a caller in the shape of Jackson Genovesi in the cutoff. Zejlko Krizan also called, from the big blind, and it was three-handed to the 
flop.
Krizan checked, Isaia bet 26,000 and only Genovesi made the call. The turn was the 
and now Isaia checked to his fellow countryman. Genovesi fired a bet of 37,000 and Isaialet out a large sigh as he passed his cards back to the dealer.
Jonathan Roy Eliminated In 9th Place (€10,900)
Jonathan Roy has been eliminated in ninth place at the hands of the in-form Jackson Genovesi. Genovesi now has 1,300,000 after taking plenty of chips from Serkan Kurnaz and now the full stack of Roy
Genovesi opened to 22,000 under the gun and then called when Roy three-bet to 59,000 from the cutoff. The 
flop saw Genovesi check, Roy bet 44,000 and Genovesi check-raise to 92,000. Roy made the call.
The 
turn slowed both players down and they both checked however, the 
on the river saw Genovesi bet 400,000 which put Roy all in as he only had 220,000 behind.
Roy tanked for close to two minutes, his neck becoming more and more red with each passing second. Eventually he called and Genovsi turned over his hand. At first just the

Krizan Gets Pushed Around

We joined the action on a draw-heavy 
flop where Zeljko Krizan had bet 47,000 from the cutoff. To his direct left was Yordane Kerignard and he raised to 102,000. Krizan wasted little time in calling and it was off the the 
river.
Krizan now checked and Kerignard bet 400,000 putting Krizan all-in. Krizan sat back in his seat and said something that sounded a lot like an f-bomb before sitting forward again and putting his head in his hands. After one minute he folded angrily and asked if Kerignard had a straight, but as usual Kerignard remained silent.

Jack Salter Eliminated in 8th Place (€15,000)

We are down to seven players in the WPT Malta main event after Jack Salter was eliminated by Finland's Sampo Ryynanen.
Ryynanen was in the cutoff and when the action folded around to him, he raised to 20,000. Salter then moved all in from the big blind and Ryynanen instantly called. The reason for his quick call became apparent when he showed and Salter could only muster 
. The board ran out 
and with that Salter was no more.
Genovesi Showing Off

Hui Chen Kuo was first to act in the hijack and she set the price to play at 25,000. The action passed around to Jackson Genovesi in the big blind and he three-bet to 62,000.
Kuo reached for chips and Genovesi commented on how she was going for it but our last woman standing decided against continuing with the hand and folded.
Kuo asked Genovesi to show and he said, "now we are down to seven I suppose I can show," and show he did, the lowly .
From the conversation that took place afterwards Kuo claimed to have folded pocket sevens.
Genovesi Wins Another

Jackson Genovesi is in full swing right now and he is picking up pots left, right and center. He just picked up another 200,000 or so chips.
Yorande Kerignard opened to 25,000 from under the gun and he picked up two callers. First Surken Kurnaz called in the hijack and Genovesi called on the button. The trio saw the flop come down 
, Kerignard bet 47,000 and both opponents called.
The caused all three players to check and it looked like that was going to happen again when the appeared on the river but when the action checked to Genovesi he bet 155,000. Kerignard quickly got out of the way but Kurnaz said, "so sick" before replaying the hand over in his head.
"You wouldn't look at your cards again if you had the flush," said Kurnaz in a quizzical manner commenting on how Genovesi took another peek at his hole cards before making the 155,000 bet. Kurnaz, try as he might, could not find a call and Genovesi adds more chips to his stack.
