We're now on a 1 hour dinner break.
Brandon Cantu bet a pot on all streets getting calls all the way from Bobby Suer.
On the river, the board read and Suer went all in. Cantu called off his last 8,100 and Suer showed for a rivered straight. Cantu showed a , slammed the table spraying his chips everywhere, then stormed off.
We missed the hand, but Dan Kelly just knocked out another player just before the dinner break, knocking his table down to 4 players. Kelly easily has the other three stacks covered combined, and looks to be in cruise control on route to a berth in tomorrow's final day.
Jack Ellwood is now the clear chip leader on his table after winning a sizeable pot against Blair Hinkle.
Hinkle had raised to 2,100 and then called Ellwood's three bet to 10,200 before both players checked the flop. Hinkle then check-raised Ellwood's 12,000 turn bet on the to 27,000 which Ellwood wordlessly called. The river saw Hinkle shutdown and check again and Ellwood bet 18,000 this time.
"Nice hand," sighed Hinkle, mucking.
We didn't catch either hand, but a look around the room shows that both Nam Le and Scott Seiver are no longer at their tables, meaning they have been eliminated.
Action folded to Eric Cajelais in the small blind, who made it 3,600. The big blind, Terrance Eischens, made it 10,600 to go. Cajelais quickly slide a big stack of orange 5000 chips into the middle, and Eischens call for his remaining stack.
Cajelais:
Eischens:
The board ran out , and Cajelais's pair of queens was good enough to take the pot. Cajelais is now three handed, and has the chip lead with 220,000, just under half the chips in play at his table.
We caught the action on the flop of . Josh Brikis checked, and Scott Montgomery bet 3,500. Brikis then raised to 11,600, and Montgomery called. The turn brought the , and Brikis open shoved for 48,300. Montgomery went into the tank for a good two minutes before making a great call with just . Brikis showed for a flush draw, and missed when the river brought the .
"Elky" Grosspellier also busted from that table earlier, and they are the first to get to three handed play. The players remaining are Scott Montgomery, Brent Hanks, and Eric Yates.
Dan Kelly is up to about 175,000 after knocking out Kevin Grubisic with against on a board.
Meanwhile Jack Ellwood is over the 100,000 mark after Andrew St Jean check-raised all in with on an only for the Englishman to snap-call with and avoid fives on the turn and river.
We came to Lex Veldhuis's table with him all in for 20,000 with the flop reading . His opponent Benoit Albiges was debating whether to call or not, telling Veldhuis, "If you could see my cards, you would want me to call." He talked himself into it, and Veldhuis was surprised to see the hand he had been called by.
Veldhuis:
Albiges:
Both players were on draws, but Albiges had the better hand at the moment. That hand improved when the turn came the , and Veldhuis needed a four or nine to win. The river came the , and Veldhuis got up from the table, shaking his head with a puzzled look on his face. Albiges scooped the pot, knocking out the always dangerous Dutchman.
