Shawn Buchanan check-called a bet from Ronnie Bardah on a flop to see the roll off on the turn. Again, Buchanan check-called a bet, as he did on the river. Bardah flipped over for aces full and Buchanan quickly mucked.
Over at the media table where all of the magic that you're reading happens, we saw both Jarred Solomon and Chad Brown get up from their chairs and hit the rail. We wish them better luck in their next tournaments.
On a flop of , Dmitry Gromov checked raised his sole opponent in middle position, which received a call. Gromov then led out on the , his opponent called, and the hit the river. Both players checked and Gromov revealed for nines and sixes, which was good enough to win.
We’re unsure as to how Sorel Mizzi had built up such a large stack but we found him with quite a few chips and in a hand on a board. He bet from the big blind and a player in middle position moved all in for 800 more. Mizzi made the call with for a flush draw and would need any heart on the river to eliminate his opponent who held . The river was a though to double up his opponent. However Mizzi was still sitting with one of the bigger stacks in the room.
We don't know what happened before the flop, but we caught up with Table 351 to find a chip hungry Jeff Shulman being the aggressor on a flop of . Shulman bet out and was called by two others at the table.
The made an appearance on the turn and with that came another bet from Shulman. This time however he only received one call. A river equaled another bet from Shulman, and it was enough to get his opponent to fold.
The chip average at this point is 30,636 and Shulman is hovering around 30,000 in chips.
We didn't catch the hand, but we saw Matt Affleck rise from his chair, gather his belongings, and make his exit from the Amazon Room. We can confirm that he has been eliminated from the tournament.
Jarred Solomon, who finished runner up in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em Event earlier this WSOP, recently raised from the small blind only to face a reraise from the player in the big. Solomon made the call and then check-raised the flop, which inspired the big blind to three-bet. Solomon called and then check-called the turn.
Both players proceeded to check the river and the big blind rolled over . It was good as Solomon mucked his hand.
Joseph Serock who was sporting a Dirk Nowitzki jersey moved all in from under the gun. Robert Ferdinand was next to act and raised which got everyone else to fold. Serock showed while Ferdinand held . The board ran out which improved Ferdinand to two pair and provided no help to Serock who was eliminated.
With the NBA finals game starting shortly on a TV nearby, we’re sure that Jason Mercier who’s wearing a Miami Heat shirt is hoping that the Dallas Mavericks suffer the same loss tonight as Serock just did in the tournament.
We did a circle around the tournament floor to try and find the big stack, and we think we have a winner. Dmitry Gromov is sitting with right around 90,000.
