Buchman Katches Queen

No Limit Hold'em

When we reached the table, the board read {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Hearts}, and there was about 10,000 already in the middle. Eugene Katchalov led out for 8,500, and Eric Buchman made the call.

The river was the {q-Spades}, and after a moment for thought, Katchalov slid out 21,000. Buchman shrugged, grabbed a stack of yellow T1,000 chips, and made the call.

"Ace," Katchalov said timidly, wondering if it was good.

"No good," Buchman said, tabling {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for trip queens.

Katchalov flashed {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} before mucking his hand, and Buchman shipped the pot.

Eric vs. Eric

Livello 17

Stud

We just caught the tail end of this stud pot, walking up as Eric Baldwin and Eric Froehlich were checking through sixth street. Baldwin was showing the {A-Hearts} and three diamonds on his board, and Froehlich had {J-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} up. On seventh, Baldwin check-called a bet from Froehlich, and the big pot was up for grabs.

Froehlich showed {10-Hearts} {K-} {10-} as his down cards, and his heart flush was the winner.

"Ouch," Baldwin said, mucking his cards and dropping all the way down to just 35,000. Froehlich is on the move, up now to about 170,000.

Bruno Benveniste Bursts Bubble

Omaha 8/b

Nikolay Evdakov raised from under the gun, Mayu Roca Uribe three-bet on his direct left, Shaun Deeb called in the small blind, and Bruno Benveniste put in four bets from the big blind. All three players called, and the flop fell {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Deeb checked, Benveniste moved all in for less than a bet (2,700), and all three players called.

The remaining three players checked the {7-Spades} on the turn, but Deeb led after the {4-Diamonds} hit the river. Evdakov and Uribe called.

Deeb: {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} - High & Low
Evdakov: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} - Low
Uribe: {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} - High
Benveniste: Mucked - Bubble

Bubble Trouble... Double!

Livello 16

Razz

While we were waiting for the elimination at the adjacent table, Brent Hanks got himself all in as well. It was a Razz pot that we joined on sixth street.

Hanks: (x-x) / {5-}{5-}{2-}{a-} / (x)
Kelly: (x-x) / {4-}{q-}{6-}{k-} / (x)

Hanks bet on sixth street, leaving himself just 2,500 back. Kelly went ahead and raised him in, and Hanks stood up to sweat his fate. It was about three or four minutes of pause before the floor man came over to mediate the hand. Kelly rolled over {5-}{2-}, then pulled an {8-} to make an eighty-six. Hanks had started with {a-}{4-} buried, and he needed to pull a three, six, seven, or eight to stay alive.

Hanks squeezed, then rolled over a nice red {7-} to secure his double. He's back to about 48,000 now, while Kelly is knocked back to 45,500.

Buchman Gets Even With Katchalov

Livello 16

Stud

We just caught the tail end of this pot, walking up to about 100,000 chips in the middle and Eric Buchman making the lat bet. Action was on Eugene Katchalov, and he considered for a long while, staring down at this:

Buchman: (x-x) / {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades} / (x)
Katchalov: (x-x) / {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} / (x)

Katchalov eventually decided to call the last bullet, and Buchman rolled over {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for the spade flush. It was good, and that big pot pushes Buchman up to about 115,000, now dead even with Katchalov.
