We missed the action but walked by Erick Lindgren's table as he was being eliminated. He held and his opponent held . The board showed .
There are still many notables in the field we will be keeping our eye on. A table just formed with Gavin Smith, Dwyte Pilgrim, and Adam Levy that should produce some interesting hands.
We only saw the action when the entire board was out. It was checked over to Melanie Weisner on the button who bet 650. She received a call and showed for kings up which was good to win the pot.
We caught up with the action on a flop where it was checked to the hijack who bet 600. Amnon Filippi called on the button as the two saw the on the turn. The hijack bet 600 again and Filippi called again. On the river, the hijack upped his bet to 1,000 and Filippi made the call once more. The player showed for a pair of aces which were good as Filippi mucked.
About three hands before breaking, action started to get a little crazy at Gavin Smith and Humberto Brenes' table.
Action folded around to Smith who completed from the small blind. Brenes plopped a stack of chips in the middle, effectively moving Smith all in. Smith showed and mucked his cards.
The next hand action folded around to Smith once again, this time on the button. Smith moved his stack all in and Humberto made the call. The big blind folded and the hands were turned up:
Smith:
Brenes:
The flop fell and Smith was still way behind. He caught a miracle though, with the on the turn and Brenes let out a big "Ohhhhh!" laughing along with the rest of the table. The fell on the river and Smith doubled up to 4,700 while Brenes dropped to 1,200.
The next hand Brenes pushed his stack all in and it folded around to another player who capped his cards.
"Come on!" Brenes said "I need my chips back! I gave them to [Smith] and now you need to give them to me! It goes in a circle!"
Eventually the player mucked his hand and Brenes could only say "No cojones", flashing .
"You've got grande cojones!" Smith shot in with a laugh. "Grande Costa Rican Cojones!"
We caught Darryll Fish in a hand with two other players on a flop of . A player first to act bet 1,500 and the other player moved all in for 6,500. Fish moved all in for 4,500. The first player folded and Fish flipped up and his opponent flipped up .
The board ran out with the on the turn and the on the river. Fish sits with around 5,000 in chips.
On a board Melanie Weisner checked and her opponent put out a bet of 1,300. We know that there were raises preflop because there was already a decent amount of chips in the pot. Weisner then raised her opponent and made it 3,475 total. Her opponent barely even thought about it and made the call.
On a turn Weisner took her time contemplatig how much she wanted to bet, before eventually putting 5,525 chips in the middle. Her opponent immediately went all in and before we knew it Weisner's cards were in the muck.
People just can't seem to find their way today. Just like after the first break, another announcement was made shortly after this break for a player who couldn't find his table. The pavilion room knew the drill by now though and the players at his table motioned him over.
Then yet another announcement was made for someone who was looking for a friend named Patrick Chan. There seemed to have been no response from anyone so if you're reading this Patrick Chan, your friend is looking for you.
