Players are back from their break and will play one more level before we bag and tag for the night. There are only 35 players remaining so it is conceivable that we will reach the final three tables before the end of the night. Only time will tell!
We caught up with the action on a board where the chip leader Alex Findlay checked from the big blind and Hai Chu bet 25,000 on the button. Findlay made the call and then led out for 35,000 when the hit the river. Chu made the call only to be shown Findlay’s for a flush which was good to increase his lead.
It was "suckout city" during a hand we just witnessed between Jake Flores and Kien Tieu. The two players got all the chips in the middle preflop with Flores' hand dominating.
Flores:
Tieu:
The flop gave Tieu some flush outs when it came . A simutaneous "ooooh" came from the table and rail when the fell on the turn completing Tieu's flush. That wasn't the end of the drama though as the came on the river giving Flores a full house. Flores pounded the table in excitement and Tieu looked absolutely devastated.
Tieu hit the rail and Flores stack grew to 325,000.
While we were getting names and chip counts just before, we couldn’t help but catch some crazy hands as well. In one of those hands, we found three players all in preflop.
Genefredo Legaspi:
Jorge Arriola:
Robbie Verspui:
We didn’t catch the board but neither players with queens caught a straight or flush meaning Legaspi eliminated Arriola and doubled off Verspui.
We were also told that in the previous hand, Legaspi had asked the dealer for aces and had doubled up against the of Jonas Mackoff.
PokerStars Team Pro Gualter Salles ended up all in preflop holding the but was behind to Michael Rushton's . The board ran out which gave Salles no assistance and he was sent to the rail.
