Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2011 World Series of Poker for Event #37: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship!
Not including the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship, this is the final mixed game championship of the series, and is one that many mixed game enthusiasts are looking forward to as it is an event where a deep run doesn't just rely on a hot run of cards, but application of skills learned over hundreds of thousands of hands.
Last year saw Ian Gordon top the 241-player field to walk away with the top prize of $611,666, but with numbers in the championship mixed game events this year ranging between the 126 and 202-player mark, it isn't likely that a $600,000 first prize will be achieved this year.
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be located in the Pavilion Room for the remainder of the day providing continuous live updates from 5:00 p.m. PDT as we begin writing the story of the Event #37: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship winner!
