Ramdin Chases Fifth Cash and WSOP Gold

Livello 14
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

Victor Ramdin is a Team PokerStars Pro who holds a World Poker Tour title that netted him over $1.3 million along with a win in the Main Event at The Big Event in Los Angeles for $500,000. One thing he doesn't have though is a World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Ramdin has been on a roller coaster of a ride here in Event #37: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, but just might have put the downswings behind him as he now sits with a stack of about 100,000. This is another event at the 2011 WSOP that Ramdin looks to be making a charge at the bracelet. Already this year, he's earned himself the following WSOP results:

  • $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed - 78th for $4,898
  • $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout - 29th for $4,998
  • $3,000 Limit Hold'em - 13th for $11,288
  • $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. - 9th for $18,577

This is only the 37th event of the 2011 WSOP and Ramdin has already almost matched the number of cashes he earned all of last year here in Las Vegas. Ramdin also has earned himself 95.5 WSOP Player of the Year points and sits in 158th spot on that leader board. If he's able to pull off a deep final table run here in this event, he would jump near the top of that list.

Most importantly though, Ramdin is chasing the gold that has eluded him all of his career. Last year Ramdin had his closest call, coming in sixth place in the $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha event for nearly $50,000. Being able to win gold here in the elite event would mean the world to him and he's really gunning for it. Be sure to follow along with PokerNews as we see how deep Ramdin can do in this one and if he can earn his fifth cash of the 2011 WSOP.
